as i said on the saints site, will he be annoucing that he's found a sponsor for SL?

Someone should call in and ask him what he does each day to earn his living.

Of course he won't be but he will say that discussions are progressing well. I know that a couple of the world cup sponsors are very interested as well as a couple of other companies.

The man is a charlatan. A year into his job he couldn't find a sponsor for the World Cup or the Super League.

obviously theres a marketing team, but Big Brian came to our sport bragging about how all his amazing contacts would improve our sport, and yet his amazing contacts havn't gained us a sponsor for SL in what could soon be 2 years and no main sponsor for the world cup.

Why does it need a naming sponsor? The RUWC does okay without one, so does the FIFA World Cup.

The last time the RLWC had a title sponsor, the tournament was a mitigating disaster. The last two didn't, and they were huge successes.

I do not know whether he was individually responsible for it but I reckon the RLWC received its most high profile media coverage ever in the UK this year.

The coverage for the 1995 event, in the papers at least, was probably better. That was on the back of the probably unprecedented newspaper coverage of the 1994 Ashes series.

tht he's had lots of freebie trips to all the clubs to watch games and get wined and dined, again for free. and that he's enjoyed that very much.

The foundations for this 2013 World Cup were laid by Richard Lewis before he left, especially the choice of BBC.
