They were told that if, in the light of what they were told earlier today, any of them felt they did not want to stay with the club, the club would fully understand and would not stand in their way.

The club has also stated that Cummins can recruit a replacement for any/every such player who might - for perfectly understandable personal reasons - seek to avail themselves of that undertaking. One out, one in.

A slightly different message than those who get a high maxing out on schadenfreude might seek to convey.

Incidentally, you were correct in your opinion of Whitcu*t. But you were only able to form your opinion from very limited public-record (albeit quite damning) information. Some of us who had ftf dealings with him - and with OK (very different away from the public eye) - were much better qualified to form such a view. But, in the main, we kept our views to ourselves to avoid risking damaging the club. Quite the oposite of what some others clearly intended with their incessant obsessed broken records.

Not good. Between this and the London situation all my World Cup optimism is being washed away. Hope both clubs sort things out. Whilst club vs club rivalry will start stepping up again over the next few weeks and months, I personally just want the sport to go from strength to strength now and take no pleasure in situations like this.

Bear in mind he had people believe what he DID put in was capital (at least, he never disabused anyone of that idea) when it was actually mainly loans - debt.

Debt, btw, that the current board stated they have no intention of repaying in view of what they have discovered. They must feel they are on pretty strong legal grounds to say that.

Regarding OK, I have been involved in a number of meetings with him (and others). In all of those, his attitude was very much "give me your money". He had his finger constantly on the "transmit" button, and I don't think ever found the "receive" button. Although maybe I lie - in the last meeting I was in with him, I told him pretty straight what his gimme gimme expecting people to do his bidding for nothing attitude would lead to. Think it shocked him a bit. But when you go round telling people who have given the club significant sums of money or time (or are prepared to so do) that what they have given or can give is no use to you - it needs to be much more - you lose people's goodwill very quickly.

He lost mine after a few of those.

Is it just me who is worried about Gutterfax? He seems unhealthily obsessed with some subjects, such as Bradford's finances? And is in constant unremitting denial of any facts or information that does not align with his obsessions? As well as being desperate to have people see that he was right, regardless of whether he was or not and regardless of the consequences.

If he was on my team, I'd be urging him to try and see himself as others do, since IMO he risks coming across as someone who maybe is not wired up right.

I worry about myself too........but I freely accept when I am wrong with no "buts" .........unlike your rabid Bradford fans who hailed whitcut as the messiah and would have had me crucified for questioning the way the club was being financed. As for your finances.......you take from the sl pool and therefore your shenanigans are fair game..........the RFL propped you up financially.....don't get y when fans of other clubs ask WHY?

out of interest could a community owned club be a reality in SL? ie fans paid a sum to be joint owners, have a vote on board members etc. If you could get 5000 fans to agree to put in 50-100quid a year that would go a long way to covering the shortfall many clubs currently face. The risk is spread more widely and as long as the club keeps its community ownership engaged then it shouldn;t face thse problems of owners walking away.

Well, if they don't go into administration, things might not be as bad as some may like to imply.

A sporting club having financial problems isn't unheard of, even outside rugby league. It turns out their white knight in Omar Khan wasn't all he was cracked up to be. Hopefully the new team will get things back on track.

I genuinely miss a strong Bradford in Superleague. I hope one day they get Bullmainia back on track.

Ok, how did the RFL prop the club up financially? As far as I can see all the RFL did was take the lease to the stadium which was more of a preventing the club losing it's home rather than as some big cash injection.

Do you really believe that transaction wasn't principally about getting cash into the Bulls?
