| In the words of Kevin Keegan, I would absolutely bloody love it !
Certainly SOO would be a far bigger draw than one of the weekly rounds.
This would be a fantastic game to have over here

| Origin at Wembley needs to be on the BBC on a Saturday.
If it was played at noon Saturday London time in May, June or July that would be 9 pm Saturday night in most of Australia. Channel 9 would probably accept that.
I think that the British attendance and TV audience would be improved if it was held at 1 pm London time, but that would mean 10 pm in Sydney and that later hour would eat away at some of the TV audience in Australia.

| Is it just Me or do others think that article shows utter disregard for the British game? Just who do the Aussies think they are? Why are they discussing our game with soccer bosses or anyone else other than the RFL. I Love origin & the NRL & subscribe to premier sports to get my fill, But super league is our top competition & nothing should be allowed to distract from that. If they are convinced that games at Wembly are the way to go then let the NRL clubs promote & support a proper & meaningfull international series every year (like union) six or seven games in a propper gap in the NRL/super league programe. That is something up to now they have have fought against. I just sounds like a money making scheme for the NRL clubs. If we are to fill wembley for rugby league games then it should be the RFL or RLIF getting that money not the NRL clubs. Just sheer arogance to describe their competition as the highest standard. International sport is the highest standard nothing else comes close.

Surely it is upto the Australian game where they host one of their games, and nothing to do with the RFL or Super League?
The biggest question for me is, why does it take the incoming NRL chief to kick off these discussions with "UK soccer bosses"? Why have the Super League clubs not been doing this? What has Nigel Wood been doing?
Recently there was a conference in Australia for all the NRL clubs to discuss ways of improving membership numbers, with guest speakers from across the World of sport. What have Super League clubs been doing?
Whilst Super League and the RFL are bickering about the number of teams and how to structure the leagues, the Australian game is storming further and further ahead, both on and off the field.

| Surely, it would make sense to concentrate on improving the international game first. Twickenham has multiple home games each year built up over many years. Glad they are chatting with the RFU as they hold the expertise and experience in promoting and marketing big events.
Sure a state of Origin game here would be brilliant in time (preferebly at a more inner London venue,) but not before annual internationals take place in London and around the UK mid-season!!
But money talks and any Rugby League of this magnitude in London could be used hopefully to benefit the beleaguered London Broncos in some way.
But reading the report there are some assumptions, artistic licence and conjecture being applied to the article, over to you Australia!!

| I would be there in a heartbeat. The thought of seeing a SOO in my back yard would be amazing. Its interesting to note that the NRL look on the financial advantages of London as a city for business. Something I and many others have been pointing out for years. Something that the RFL have failed to look towards.
RFU is succesful as they attract the Blue Chip companies in their droves. That is something that the RFU have exploited very well, where as the RFL over many years have failed to look towards them.
If and I know its a big IF a SOO game can attract a full house at Wembley and one or two blue chip companies then it can only do good for the game in this country.
We bang on about how great SOO is yet its packed away on a small satalite TV channel with an audience that you can count on two hands. The NFL and C4 and laterly Sky somehow manage to get people's imagination. A game that is played for 60 minutes over 4 hours. HTF does that happen.
Lets get a game (or series) to Wembley and shout about this from every roof top.

| I think if they took the first or second game of the origin series around the world it would be great for the games profile.
A double header in the UK with a roses game OR England v last years super league winners in a club v country game could be a launch pad for our own competitive mid season game.

| I would love to see S.O.O at Wembley...can't see O.T would be in the running after "in goal" gate and the steep drop off them, don't think the coaches would except it.
Given the large Oz community in London and competitive pricing for tickets it would be a sell out.
Only problem could be finding a date, June/July is usually concert season at Wembley.

Double header is pointless. It only diminishes the occasion of Origin which can stand on its own. Besides, the curtain raiser would have to be played no later than 11 am (possibly earlier) to work with Australian TV schedules for the Origin game, the BBC and Channel 9 would not care about the curtain raiser, and in any case who will be watching TV or attending a curtain raiser at 11 am or earlier on a Saturday?

| They'd have to play it at a weekend to be viable. But if they could play SOO there it would be great.
We do need also international compeition with England competitive though. As Ray fRench said on TV that is the ONLY way British RL can get the sponsorship and media coverage it needs to flourish.
As to a London club, maybe a super team could be created - with each NRL club giving up two of their star players each season to a London club. Players back to Oz at the end of the year to be replaced by 2 more. Although the club would not have continuity of staff if the players were of high enough calibre they should be able to win / compete strongly each year in SL. That would see London crowds grow in my opinion and attract the Aussies and Kiwis from London.

| It's time the NRL took over the running of the game in the UK. The RFL have failed at elite level. They could be retained to promote the game at grassroot levels.

| Whats the point of this? So the NRL can make more money? Not really a whole lot of use for the Northern Hemisphere game really, just seems to relegate the prestige of SL further.
International tests are far more important than what is a parochial game between two states in Oz coming over here for a gimmick game.
If the NRL want to play a game over here in Wembley, then have a test and build up the international game rather than the NRL brand.
