Plenty of italian names, none more so than minichello, gives the italian team at least a modicum of credibility to the casual viewer.

There is no way I would go all the way to Cardiff and not watch both games!

The casual viewer would surely have noted that only one member of the Italian team knew the words of the Italian national anthem.

By contrast most of the Welsh team knew the words of the Welsh anthem.

They should have played Advance Australia Fair instead of the Italian anthem for this one.

Yes I'm sure viewers are turning off in droves because not enough rugby players sang along to a song.........the sport is doomed!

Decent game so far, tough one to call, with Wales growing in to it.

Not sure who I want to win as would like Wales to given they're a home nation, but Italy to as an emerging nation.

I'll just settle for a solid second half.

Disgraceful, the italstralian number 8 was offside and got within 10. Should have been no try penalty to wales.

Thought after a slow start the game was pretty good, at least until half-time. Unfortunately, Wales had no ball and though they defended well until the last few minutes they never held the ball long enough to go and win it. Thought the ref made several mistakes and not up ti intrernational standard, even at the lower pace of this game.

Not a great start for the locals in these 2 games.

Took my Corsican father in law to the England game last week. He was the only one in our part of the stand who could sing the Italian national anthem.

Good game, and a great choice to showcase on the TV. It showed a National audience that there is more to our World Cup than just England, Australia & New Zealand.

Very good game, surprised at how many people left at half-time: what's the point of watching half a game?

Impressed by the way the Italians managed to step up a gear when they felt the pressure, but also at how fearless the Welsh drives were.

Really impressed by the Italians, like previouly mentioned its good to see the game spread. Ok, they were Italian Australians but for me its a start and it pains me to say it but well done Italy, a potential dark horse.

Italians have Kade Snowden available for the next game as he has now served his 7 match suspension.
Kade will add a lot to an already strong forward pack.

Italy would be a serious hurdle for the top 3 sides if they had world class halves as well.

It's great to see Joshie Mantellato get MOTM too. No one has done more to get Italy into this position. He paid his own way to play for them in their first season of International competition, his excellent kicking is the reason they got the spot over Lebanon on for and against, and he kicked the field goal to beat England.

Italy will start to roll over the more fancied sides once Kade Snowden joins the team. Italy is competing with Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji for fourth place.
