Wigan have lost again. They lost decisively to the French powerhouse club Catalans Dragons. But this time they had most of their top players in the team. That included "Golden Boy" Sam Tomkins. How could that be?

Is Sam Tomkins dreaming of his new life in the NRL, at the full back position of the New Zealand Warriors? Is Wigan coach Shaun Wane also dreaming of being the coach of the same club? Are the rest of the team wondering how life in Super League will be without Tomkins, Richards and Mossop, who are all heading Down Under?

The fact is that Wigan Warriors have become a sorry excuse for a top 4 club. Their run to the playoffs has been a disaster. They have no chance, on current form, of winning silverware. There must be some explanation for this.

To be honest your powerhouse of a French team have been poor for weeks now and beat a club who despite having a near full team are thinking about Wembley same as Hull last night who scraped home against Salford in the last minute so that's probably the explanation

Wigan... along with Warrington and Leeds all wish to see Huddersfield finish 1st on the ladder by quite a margin so that they can all collectively laugh at them and point at their real credentials during the play-offs.

All joking aside, and as a Hull FC fan, but you do know Hull FC's Wembley record, don't you?

They've learnt from last year and are losing games on purpose so they can come good and have an allocation of good form left over for the playoffs. Everyone knows you have to play crap and lose games in order to come good for the playoffs.

They will also have been distracted by wembley next weekend.

Catalans 'the super league whipping boy rabble' club wouldn't know much about these matters.

Expected result.

Wigan with eyes firmly on Wembley and almost nothing to gain from the win.
