| PNG should have been touring England at season's end before now. Last year in particular when there was no major international competition.
Having PNG play England in October would be a good warm up for both nations prior to the 2013 World Cup.
Because of its novelty, it would more likely attract more English fans than England vs [delCatalans[/del France.
PNG have some talented players from the NRL and UK competitions, including a strong spine:
FB: David Mead (Gold Coast)
WG: Michael Mark (ex Featherstone)
CE: Menzie Yere (Sheffield), Jessie Joe Parker (Whitehaven)
SO: Ray Thompson (North Queensland)
SH: Paul Aiton (Wakefield)
SR: Neville Costigan (Newcastle)
PR: Makali Aizue (Dewsbury, ex-Hull KR), Rodney Pora (Whitehaven)
HO: James Segyaro (Penrith)
The RLIF seems moribund and the RFL is not thinking about international contests very deeply.

| I'm amazed that we haven't started to see an influx of PNG players as the aussies and NZ players get more expensive.
Certainly this years world cup offers a few players a chance to make a move.
Perhaps in future years PNG and the aussie based GB players could team up for an Exiles v NZ series when origin is on.

| Just a couple of points, the first being a little pedantic;
1 - Michael Mark is actually ex-Hunslet (and Wortley Dragons ARLFC)
2 - It is my understanding that England have already agreed to face Italy in a warm up match for the World Cup. The Italians should have a decent sprinkling of NRL and Super League players (The Minichiello bros, Terry Campese, Craig Gower etc). However, I doubt they will be as strong as the Kumuls.

Sorry mate I think it wouldn't achieve anything, England would pump that team and it wouldn't get anyone anywhere.
If Wales, Scotland or Ireland played them it might work though.
