I have just watched the BBC news and saw the RU semi highlighted but no mention of the incredible game which was Hudds v Rhinos.
Did I blink and miss it or were we just ignored again ( despite being a BBC sport)?

Don't know about that, but they did mention that the World Cup Wales vs Italy match will be live on BBC2 which is great news and gives me a little more hope for the tournament.

On one bulletin, BBC news channel described the Leicester V Quins game, but showed footage of Leroy Cudjoe, so they don't only cock-up League.

It looks like the BBC have already decided they will be showing more World Cup games. They originally announced that they would show all Englands group games, a quarter-final, a semi-final and the final, but they advertised during the Hudds v Leeds game that they will also be showing the Wales v Italy game now. It'll be on BBC 2 straight after the England v Australia match. Hopefully this means they may pick up some more games as-well.

Let us also be grateful for the smashingly good game calling by Dave Woods, whom polls show to be the second most popular rugby league caller in the English speaking world.

Anyone expecting BBC to push and market the world cup will be setting themselves up for serious disappointment. Expect the Bare minimum at best.

The only problem wih extra BBC coverage of World Cup games is that it means that Ray French will be calling some games, like Wales vs Italy I assume. (Dave Woods is unlikely to calll two in a row). Ray French will turn many viewers off, obviously though not those who live in St. Helens.

Does anyone else get annoyed when they say "and that's all the sport"?
