...it's at the bottom of the article.....wonder why they haven't announced that in Blighty or even on the RLWC website as yet?
Still, great news that the comp will make money.

| I reckon this is going to be the best, most competitive WC ever.RL fans in UK really need to get off their backsides and support it.
Australia - one of the best backlines of all time and last chance to see them in WC action
NZ - World Champions and out to rub Australia's nose in it further
England- Arguably the best pack in the world
PNG- Taking the preperation very seriously and have big Mal on board
Fiji - Performed well last tournament and have more NRL experinced player sthan ever
Tonga & Samoa - Plenty of Kiwis and NRL stars have put their hands up to represent the Islands this time. Both sides look capable of an upset
France - Been poor in recent times but SL experience and some rising new stars should see them compete
Some cracking fixtures and a great tournament ahead

| Cannot express in words how much i'm looking forward to this tournament.
I think Samoa (I know they always underperform) look a superb team, quick and aggressive. Will be the team that challenges the big guns.
If England put in a big perfiormance at Cardiff v the Aussies, even if they lose by a few points I think this tournament will light up big time.

Probably because that's what they announced before the 2000 comp (remember it well), before it went on to lose so much cash that it nearly bankrupted the RFL and certainly killed international footy for 4 years

| Superb news, making a profit was the number one importance for the RFL. We need to invest in to the developing nations. I will be surprised if it doesn't exceed the £2 million profit the tournament in OZ made.

| For the first time ever the arlc is funding tomorrows test between Samoa and tonga. They have put in $200k to put it on. Good signs for the development of southern hemisphere int teams.

| Any updates on ticket sales?
had a quick look on the ticket website, and the same areas of the grounds are open for the big games (such as the opener, England games and the Semi-final and Final) as they were back in January? hope this doesn't mean sales have slowed down. I'd have thought we'd be close to filling out the KC and Huddersfield by now but the top tiers of both are still closed.

Smokey will scream "paranoia", but I wonder if may be - just may be mind, I'm happy to be corrected if someone has other solid info on this - that the 'sales' reported included a bunch of block sales to travel companies etc which presumably get done early on? Until I know the answer I'm not getting excited about ticket sales.
