I realise things may be going on behind the scenes, but since he appeared on Boots n All back in February talking about his little black book with his numerous contacts has he actually produced anything.
From memory he was going to get more National media coverage and sponsorship for the game.
As I said its early days, but is this just another white elephant appoinment by the RFL.
Maybe the RFL should have appointed Mr Koukash as Salford must have had more publicity in the last 2 months than in the previous 2 years.

He is a part time, non executive Director. You can't expect things to happen over night. He is a well established and successful administrator, I am sure he will be getting to know the sport better and getting on with things behind the scenes.

When I pulled up in the car at Esher last week for the Broncos/Cats game he was parked next to me. Had a chat with him.

At least he is getting to games if nothing else!!

I live down south and Rugby League is never reported on TV. However this last month I've started to see sports reports with some RL coverage, even on the lefty BBC national news. Maybe his black book is getting some use.

Chuff me, RL in the Standard, all the time I lived do south I'm sure it only made it the Monday after Challnge Cup Final

Worth noting that Mihir Bose is Sports Editor for Channel Four news, or at least I think he is. Hopefully little things like this will keep the sport in the minds of editors, and eventually lead to more coverage.

What i also noticed was that London was also very heavy, maybe you could show those figures to the Beeb so we at least get the SL show in the London area too and not the one they show at 3am.

Nobody should expect the world to change overnight. This is a Hearts and Minds job. Win over the press and fill column inches then build from there.

It's good that he is getting some exposure in the capital for our game and our WC but surely someone should have got this bit corrected/amended "Were England to win the league World Cup for the first time, it would obviously be historic". Ok we were playing as GB then but the nation representing the English (and other home nations) has won the competition, and did so long before RU even had a WC. Even though it wasn't as an England team that achievement should have been acknowledged.

4 Nations "world cup" in 1954, 1960 and 1970 were covered on TV and were reported widely....not sure what other accolades you'd expect.......
