| Do you think that it is time that the RFL tried to establish a team in Milton Keynes? The football team has been a success so maybe this could be an area of expansion which would work

| No.
The RFL should seek bids to join CC1 from around the country.

There is and if I remember Sam Tomkins is their honorary president having been born in the town.

| Would be a smart move for Broncos imo. Supportive council (who once tried to get Hemel Stags to move here) , big and growing population, supportive media, loads of young families, excellent links on train and motorway.
MK Wolves arent particularly relevant to the pro game, they just play a few amateur games in the summer with union players.

I've lived in or near MK for twenty years now. It's about time people realised that there's a trifle more to the town than concrete cows which hardly anyone sees, anyway. I realise they are quoted 'in jest' but Warringtonians would get fed up if people always said 'Warrington, great statue of The Mad Hatter'.
Fastest growing town in the UK with good communications ( 2.5 hours door to door for me to see the Wire which enables me to keep a season ticket ) theatre, art gallery, restaurants, Wendyball ( for those who like that ) modern industry, very low unemployment, surrounded by countryside, lots of good village pubs with real ale, clubs in the town centre, two cinemas, big shopping mall, traditional market, one good rock venue on all the band tour schedules, safe cycle routes, good roads including the roundabouts.
Not sure how RL would play here but I'd be along to watch it they tried.

Northampton RU play some of their european cup (whatever it's called) games there, for the sake of using a bigger stadium AFAIK.

You can have the rugby club as it's only 45mins for me rather than the 90+ to get to twickers
however MK is a larger version of Stevenage and that is a shat-hole as well.
The market is on the cards to go (not that it is fantastic anyways), the road signage is awful and the cycle tracks are fine for old grannies and kids for the odd journey in their locality but the Redway fails on all its major points.
It isn't direct and is poorly lit(or not at all in places). Because of the huge distances between the estates and the long way that the routes take you they are hardly ever used by cycle commuters. The awful traffic volume and speed means that cycling on the road isn't a particularly pleasant experience so MK isn't the cycling nirvana some make out.
To be fair the people I know who live there say there's no identity to the town and pretty much no local community to speak of. It is bland beyond blandness despite a few clubs and leisure facilties.
just sayin'
PS Letchworth is crap too but a little less bland...not

MK is nothing like Stevenage. They learned a lot about new towns in the intervening years, much to MK's benefit. You're relying on limited second-hand information, I'm afraid. Don't know who you've been talking to but the market ( which is most excellent - and I know my markets ) is 100% safe now. Do you live/work in MK? Scarcely a day goes by that I'm not crossing a redway waiting for a cyclist to pass. They may not be perfect but a lot better than 95% of UK towns. What on earth is an 'identity' when it comes to towns? I have no interest in Wendyball so don't 'identify' with the local pro sport but I still feel cool in MK. Your comments remind me of when I see a news report about a killing somewhere and they interview 'community leaders'. I've never met a [icommunity leader[/i in my life!! Come down to one of the pubs in MK or surrounding villages and I'll show you folk enjoying living here.
MK and its surroundings are a fine place to live - I see you don't knock the facilities I mention - and I speak as someone who lived in London for almost twenty years where you can do absolutely anything.

Ive lived all over England and moved to MK two years ago. Its a big place and there are some rough estates, the town centre is also short on architectural charm. Everything else about it is excellent. Acres and acres of parks, lakes, rivers, canals, old villages, best shopping for miles around, high employment, low pretentiousness levels, imaginatively designed residential estates etc etc.
Its a breath of fresh air for me. It just needs a pro RL team.
