I blame the RFL for this unnecessary gimmick. It'll make a mockery of every club in the world except for the RFL's chosen few.

. If a young player can get game time at another club, thus improving his game, but playing for SL rather than Championship or Under 19, how is this a bad thing?

Basically you wanted a moment of spluttering anger over dual reg and to blame all ills on the big bad RFL but didn't understand the difference between dual reg and a loan so completely f****d it up.

If Dual Reg is such a bad thing, why are the Championship clubs taking part in it? Surely they wouldn't if they didn't see some sort of benefit.

So Gareth O'Brien, Castleford Tigers and the deal from Warrington Wolves has no relevance in that argument or in dual registration at all.

It seems a little strange that they were allowed to bring someone in on loan to replace a suspended player.

Why ?

Well he's been suspended. He's committed an offence that should punish him and his side (who will then obviously punish him further for putting the side in limbo). By bringing a loan player in it just seems to counteract the suspension.

Just seems strange in my opinion.

Rangi Chase getting a suspension is the punishment for the offence.

Bringing in a less talented youngster as a short term replacement hardly counters the punishment.

Another case of a fan wanting blood.

As for the OP, that's cynicism for you.

I wouldn't say I want blood, I just don't think you should be able to replace a suspended player with a loan.

The club (Cas Tigers) have also been punished by having to pay for another player and Chase has also been punished with a £300 fine.

Also have to add O'Brien to the salary cap for a month. I know not a major thing but could have an impact later on in the season

I've got no problem with loans, but the dual reg system needs to be sorted.
