| Personally, I think it would be great if all four Burgess brothers could progress and play for South Sydney, then England (and hopefully Great Britain v Australia) together.
The publicity boost for RL would be huge and well deserved.

| Two of them aren't good enough to play in the NRL, let alone play for England.
For three of them it's only their surname that has got them the NRL gig.

Despite one of them playing regularly, the other regularly on the fringes as 18th man (plus 3 appearances) despite being only 20, and the third that hasn't even landed in Sydney yet?
Not sure I agree with you there pal.

| You would be very lucky to get Sam Burgess without an injury.

| In a couple years we could also have Joe Burgess from Wigan pushing for a Wing spot.

| I'd personally prefer a squad of 20 - 25 international standard players in GB shirts who could challenge the Aussies and Kiwis. That would be far better publicity for the game. Smith, Tomkins, Briscoe, Khan, Ali I don't care on the names just all born in GB and worthy of the GB shirt.

So the England RL team in a different colour and named jersey? Top idea. You've sussed our problem, as England we've got no chance of winning but put GB on the scoreboard and we'll go on to win with the same group of players. Ingenious.

I take you have had a skin full.
The op said how wonderful it would be for the game to have 4 burgess boys in the team. Great publicity blah blah blah. I was merely stating that to get truly great publicity the game simply needs 20 - 25 international class players either GB or Eng it really makes no difference, who can compete with the kiwis and Aussies. Who they are or what they are called is irrelevant providing they are British / English. Until that happens we might as well pack up.
HTH.

The whole Burgess family want to emigrate to Australia full time so I suppose this is one way of doing it. The other 3 will probably end up working in a bar or something and they may well be joined by Sam if he keeps getting injured.
