I've just seen some Hull fans lambasting me on another topic for calling Peter Gentle a moaner. They said he didn't have a moan after the defeat at Leeds. It would appear they have selective eyesight as well as selective memories.

Peter Gentle vented his frustration at Jamie Peacock for remarks made on the Superleague show;
"I think they disrespect us quite a bit. I heard Peacock say something like, we won in the last minute and it was our Cup Final. Those comments get under your skin as a player and a coach, and they certainly provided us with some motivation.I thought what he said was just a bit disrespectful. It's funny for someone of his stature to come out and say that"

Moan ,moan,moan, moan,moan.
Anyone that saw Peacock on the show will realise his comments were taken totally out of context. Gentle needs to start winning some games rather than moaning about everyone and everything else.
As a footnote, when Peacock blew his knee apart in 2010 he had an engagement as the guest speaker at an amateur club in Hull the same week. What do you think he did, got in his car and drove to Hull so as not to let anyone down. Maybe Gentle should pop round to that club and ask them what they think about Peacock.
Is there a bigger moaner in the game than Gentle.

As a Hull fan who hears and reads quotes from him every week I would say that he hardly ever moans.

Doesn't blames refs, doesn't blame injuries, gives credit where due and if we lose it's always because we didn't play well enough.

And how that quote qualifies as moaning I have no idea. I didn't hear what Peacock said but it seems like Gentle has just taken a quote by his opposition and used it to help motivate his players.

Yet on last Friday's SuperLeague Extra Time, Baz & Tez were full of praise for the dignified way that Gentle always comes across. Specifically mentioning that he never moans about individual incidents that may have led to a defeat. Instead he looks inward and blames himself and his players

Not sure what the rest of your post about Peacock was for. He's not said that Peacock is a disrespectful person, just that this particular comment was disrespectful.

Gentle always comes across as dignified in both victory and defeat. One of the better coaches on this front. Damn him, I want to hate him but can't get an angle!

On a side note, what is the maximum number of childish names that Hull fans can think of for our coach? I'm going for between 20 & 25.
