To be fair Gateshead havent won a game in donkeys. Thats not crusaders fault. If it makes them an extra few hundred quid its prob worth it.

I don't see how its necessarily a slight at Gateshead. It's an offer which is sort of like, "satisfaction or your money back" and not necessarily suggesting Gateshead are so weak somehow that losing to them would be obscene.

If it makes them money, good. And if Gateshead feel offended, break them.

Sounds like a good way to boost home crowds to be fair, Id have prob gone with half money back if loss tho.

At the end of the day, it should boost crowds, which means more fans in the long run hopefully which is what the club wants.

If I lived near Id be tempted by that offer even though i dont support the team, still a game of rugby to watch.

Don't think it's disrespectful, while I don't think they'd have offered similar against Barrow, Workington or Donny it's just playing the percentages. Back in the day, when a chairman would walk into a dressing room prematch saying "if you beat Featherstone today there's another £20 a man", but the following week "If you beat Highfield you can have half a mild".

I don't think it's particularly genius though either highlighting the fact its going to be a dull one sided and you almost certainly won't get your money back. Save your money for a competitive game

Jemmo, I don't think we would have been over impressed if they'd done this against Donny. It's all well and good offering the players extra cash to beat team A and less for team B behind closed doors, but i don't think it's a good thing to do in public. Gateshead are doing it tough in any case so it hardly does them much good in promoting themselves.

Surely everyone they are trying to attract will be rooting for the away team? Not that clever.
