I can understand the bulls wire game but fev wigan what a joke wigan will put 60 on fev. Should have had the fax game on tv closer game two of the best championship sides head to head . Rfl joke again

I'm not sure we can pin this one on the RFL. I would guess the networks, BBC and SKY, would want to be able to choose which games are shown on their channels, would they not?

We will not put 60 on Fev. How people forget Widnes 22 Wigan 32 on BBC in 2007. Or Barrow 20 Wigan 32 in 2009! Cracking ties despite them being a division below. Wire didn't exactly pump Keighley either. These kind of ties are far tougher on the road.

It's not a bad choice for Sky. Knockout competitions are about narratives as much as the games themselves and Fev are the story of this years cup so far.

Once the Beeb had the Bulls v Wire game then out of the other fixtures there's only really Salford v Leeds or Leigh v Fax that I would have picked.

Exactly and lets be honest, the gulf in quality between the teams in both those ties is just as large.

I called the Fev game as soon as I heard the tie. "Giant" Killers v cup winners was always going to be on TV IMHO.

I'd rather watch Fev vs. Wigan than Bulls vs. Wire.

What about Les Catalans Dragons vs Sheffield Eagles?



Last weekend the Sheffield Eagles have beaten the Featherstone Rovers 60-40. So it means to me that that the Sheffield is much stronger than the Featherstone.

Les Catalans Dragons is about the same quality as the Wigan Warriors. So it means to me that Les Catalans Dragons v Sheffield should be the more interesting game for the television.

Thing is, though, Sheffield are not known for their defence. They did let Featherstone score 40 points! I think the Dragons will demolish Sheffield. It's a tough fixture for Sheffield. I hope they are getting some help with the travelling costs as they do not have the same financial benefits as Superleague clubs.

Please god no. As a Fax fan and im guessing same goes for Leigh fans, London will probably be the easiest team to tie in the last 8 and a chance for either team to make a giant killing but the reality is that it probably wont happen and both teams will lose money if they ended up travelling to London so if we manage to sneak past Leigh one of the teams with big followings would do for me.
