With Scott moore now looking for a new club again how many players are there that could/should have done better, from our club alone i can look at - Paul cooke, Paul King, Jamie Thackray, Jorda Tansey all who could have done much better, could we make a full team from these type of players ? From your own clubs who has wasted their talent.

Just scouting through the forums and nearly every SL forum has a topic in it "Scott Moore". It just shows that over the passed 5/6 years he has show-cased his talent throughout the league, shame his off the field antics have let him down

26 International caps, 2 Super League Titles and a Challenge Cup - while I admit his career was, ahem, turbulent, it's not a bad record.

Cooke won the cup with Hull, helped them to a GF, and played a prominent, if erratic, role in Hull KR's SL survival and climb to 4th in the table in his last meaningful season with us.

Both controversial, but I'm not sure it caused them to underachieve until they'd have been approaching the downslope anyway.

agreed but Gleeson won the Grand final with wigan just a few years ago, if his head was in the right place, he could have gone on and won a lot more. Same to be said when he was banned earlier on in his carrier for match betting against his own team

Karl Pryce on the wing - saw him as a 17 year old tearing Australia apart and could have been anything if his heart matched his size. Still can I guess but I'm not sure he'll get there

'Wasted talent' is a phrase that could have been written specifically for Owen Craigie - had all the skill and ability you would ever want but never had the discipline to make the most of it.

Jarrad Hickey. Came over as Wakeys new big name signing. Had all the basics of a prop- strength, offload, size. Just far too much on the size part. I.e. 4 or 5 stone too much. Embarassing.

Bobbie Goulding as player/coach.

If you're talking wasted talent rather than wayward personalities then Lee Smith, Karl Pryce and Chev Walker look to have wasted their rugby talent and potential. You'll be able to add Joel Tomkins and Kyle Eastmond to that list too. Also Iestyn Harris would have been the greatest RL player of his generation and was less than half the force even when he came back from his own wasted years.
