| Why was he such a bab coach, when on the box he speaks so much sense, and has such a clinical outlook on things, know loads about players, ie-gary wheeler when he said he`s been on his radar for years. For me he seems to know more about rugby league and how the game is played at the minute than McNamara!

| Because he looks like Jimmy Krankie. How can you take a woman dressed as a school boy seriously as a rugby league coach?

| Because there's a difference between analysing the games and implementing game winning gameplans and managing players.

Because, contrary to what some fans might think, the role of a coach is not simply to select a team and then tell them to go out and play well. Even the worst coaches are 1000x more knowledgeable than the uneducated public.

| Paul Cullen was a good coach, just not a great one (like Tony Smith) and did a lot of good for Wire - who were free falling when he took over

| I thought that when he first took over at the Wolves they played some very Attractive Rugby, and for a while were winning games in style.

| It's like on every sports programme irrespective of channel where they are full of ex-players and managers Lots of them talk of lot of sense, although many don't but the reason many are pundits is because they are ex-managers and not current managers. Nothing wrong with that, everyone needs to make a living

he's in work he has a job at Widnes. Going off what he said last night (I only watched it until around 60 minute mark) was some good points, however what he said I was actually thinking, such as Lomax and Gaskel weren't running at the line. Am I in contention for an international coaching job, no. Am I a coach, no. Have I done a RL coaching course, no. I am someone who has played the sport at a not particular high level and like to think I have some nounce about me.
Point being that if I could see that I would expect a current/ex player who has played in the National Conference to be able to see that let alone a former head coach of a Super League coach.
