Going to subscribe this year, am i right in thinking that championship clubs only get paid if they sell so many subscriptions?

If so can you nominate a championship club as your team in order to help them out with reaching their targets?

Would be good if all sl fans that subscribe could do this to boost finances for championship clubs.

Thought they would get a bit more than that, ie get 500 subscriptions get 20k or something along those lines.

If that's the plan then they don't seem to be making anyone aware of it. I think even the £10 'kickback' is due to end soon if it hasn't already?

Always rumours going around that it will be on virgin. But virgin must have got there fingers burnt good style when Setanta went tits up and of course PS is Setanta under a new name.

There will always be a way to generate a sign up fee from TV channels such as these, they may have to join an affiliate scheme but there will be a way.

It is the 10 quid, thats it, no mention if the clubs will still get any money from the Co oP if you are one of the televised games

I had and still have Premier Sports!!!!...What happened was that as soon as the NRL season finished i phoned up and told them i wanted to cancel it..That was in in mid October,they said that i would have the transmission up to about November.And guess what i am still receiving the channel!!!!...Well it(NRL) starts again mid March,(along with Championship RL),,so i might as well carry on watching the delights of,,,,Brazilian,,Argentian,,Copa America Footy!!!,,as well as GAA,,,Endless Boxing,the list goes on.......

I'm looking at getting this when the NRL starts again. But how many NRL games do you get a week?

Atleast 5 sometimes 6 live games everyweekend which over course of season is over 150 live games and the coverage is very gd

I wrote to them cancelling my contract once the NRL had stopped, but still have access to the channel. I'm waiting for them to request back payments when I try to establish a new contract in March when the NRL starts again. As for the Co-operative championship it'll be interesting but its the NRL I'm wanting to suscribe to. As for the rest of the so-called delights I'm not interested in the slightest.

Me too.Cancelled in October and they said they'd collect the last payment in December (which they did) but I'm still receiving it plus a multi-room channel also.Might ring them up just in case they debit me again.

It's an affiliate fee for attracting new business, dunno what that has to do with the CO-OP.

There was a deal as part of the Co-Operative's sponsorship deal that the home club for a TV game would receive £5,000 to use for ticketing iniatives in order to to help lessen the inevitable drop in crowds for a televised game.

It's increasing to a definite six games a week next year (bar the rounds when their are less games due to byes). Looks like basically we'll get the Friday Double Header every week instead of the very odd weeks we got last year. It leaves only one game a week we miss out on and that'll be one of the two sunday morning games.

Will definitely get this put on when the championship season begins.

As Matt has allouded to, the Co oP sponsorship deal is/was tied directly to the SKY tv coverage, no coverage, no Co oP money, up to now there hasnt been any mention of that deal continuing, or not continuing

It was 4,000 per match with the proviso that the club give out 4 grands worth of free tickets ( personally id have binned them ) and another grand to market the game with, a similar deal is in place for televised NRC matches

Those still getting Premier, it may well stay! I was getting Setanta free, carrying on for 12 months after I had stopped paying, before it finally got switched and this is the same company!
