too many of those players have won on name alone, billy slater is imense but he hasn't been the best player in the world kerion foran has had an amazing season, sam thiady no chance dave taylor or even gareth ellis, hard to disagree with paul gallen and matt scott but james graham should be with them, best full back has been brett stewart by a mile and i would even say roby has been better season than cameron smith and i am a wigan fan.

Nrl may be better than superleague but the top teams in the superleague could easily compete and win in the Nrl. The difference between the two leagues is the bottom half of the table put wakefield against canbera or canterbury bulldogs against salford there would only be one outcome every match.

It seems unless you play origin you have no chance of winning the international awards; i just hope this makes the players stand up and wipe the floor with there opposite numbers

You're right though. Overall the NRL is better, but their top end isn't necessarily better than ours. You look at what Tomkins brings and the staggering amount of work Roby and Graham put in and the decisions don't really seem right. But, I'd rather we stuck it to them on the pitch than in a conference suite.
