Are sky going to show any of the matches of the NRL finals series like last year? or do premier sports have all the rights?

They have rights for the aussie GF if I'm not mistaken. As for the playoffs themselves, only highlights I'm afraid.

I would love to have the NRL on sky every week.

It'd be great but the Sky coverage of the NRL was pretty poor really and they'd never commit to 6 games a week like Premier Sports have (increasing coverage next season).

Agreed. Now that I'm used to Premier, it would feel like a disaster for the NRL to go back to Sky. They treated it with disdain and overlaid their own inane talking heads to top and tail it when we all just wanted to watch the Channel 9 or Fox coverage uninterrupted (Premier sometimes give us this, sometimes not). And although the number of repeats has fallen somewhat this season it is still, if you aren't concerned by Premier's rough edges, an outstanding level of coverage that fully justifies the £7 or £8 a month; if like me you only have Sky Sports for RL it's clear which represents better value.

I watched every game on youtube highlights (and some live) but for the round two finals they are not showing it too peaple in the UK

Agree with that - everything about the Aussie coverage is better, including the presenters and commentators, so I'd hate to see it go to Sky and be spoiled by Wiggy and co.

I just wish Premier would improve the picture quality - it's got better but is still a bit ropey.

Just a pity they and Virginmedia can't sort out a contract.

However, if you've previously had sky installed you can use your old sky box or buy one cheap off eBay, premier will send and you a card and you can then receive premier without a sky subscription.

Might be to do with who Premier sports were before they became Premier Sports.

I'm quite happy with the demise of Setanta and SKYs loss of the NRL. Premier Sports showing now 6 games a week, usually with 9's pre game and half time analysis is far better then what SKY does.

Their pre game for the state of origin series and grand final leaves me totally flat and frustrated in what is supposed to a period to excite and hype the upcoming game. Skys boys have no idea, stuttering, messing up names and while having to watch 15 minute of a phone image or static photo of some ex NRL player chatting .

Save yourself some time, money and face SKY Sports and just go with 9's coverage! Please!
