I just received an email from the Olympic guys to say that my nomination of Steve was not being taken forward but that if he had multiple nominations they may have picked one of the others to progress.

Anyone else get turned down?

And more importantantly, anyone get accepted?

I voted for him and as far as I know haven't got an email yet.

The way I'm reading it, it Steve has got through, only one person will be getting an email saying that their nomination is through, and everyone else will et the message above. May be a while 'til that person appears on this thread. On the positive side, if Steve has made this level of the cut, and as the BBC link suggests, they are now going to be judged on merit rather than ballot, then he must be in with a good chance of progressing.

I had the same rejection email a few days ago.
The whole organisation of this Olympics seems a huge cock up especially the ticketing.

Hopefully Steve will still get a nomination as he certainly is a shining light.

steve prescott can just turn up on the route and start running, none would stand against him

he doesnt even need a torch, he can just have flames of awesomeness spring from his fingertips using his mind bullets
