As I said on the Warrington forum, surely it's a misunderstanding over which player they were talking about? He isn't out of contract for one I don't think and with the NRL cap rising I cannot see how a move to SL would be realistic.

There are only Widnes (Total no-no) and Leeds who would have the cap room required for a signing of that magnitude.

I only heard one reference to sl and that was Wade McKinnon.

Ahh, you see Quins are apparently planning to spend more money on better players next season, maybe instead of 3 props, two backs and a halfback we're going to get Benji Marshall and a bunch of kids off our production line. I knew David Hughes would do something to make sure I renew my season ticket next year

Hull KR would probably have room. We have the Money we where paying Willie Mason free and Mick Vella, Ben Galea, Ben Fisher, Liam Colbon, Shaun Briscoe and Matt Cook OOC. Ben Cockayne and Liam Watts will both probably be released. Just as a start Willie Mason's contract wasn't cheap and would pay for over Half his wages. Doubt Rovers would be in for him with our the halves we have we need some beef in the pack and a quality hooker first and foremost.

Benji Marshall will be no where near SL next year let alone with Hull KR.

He is the best player in the world and has a long lucrative contract with the Tigers why would he bother?

Unless a team were daft enough to offer him a £1,000,000 a season deal for 3 years I doubt he'll be over year until he's at least 33 then he'll be at Warrington.

Didnt you know he was signing for wire as they allways seam to be under the salary cap I think they have some money left in there off shore account so he doesn't impact the cap
