| For first time ever and I honestly thought it was awful, with Stevo and Eddie saying "you want to watch it in 3D it's a different class" so I thought tonight I would and I wouldn't reccomend it. The camera angles were awful and sorry if I'm rambling on but I wouldn't reccomend it, anyone else dissapointed when they watched it in 3D?

Yeah cos I was there. I've never watched anything in 3d apart from at the Odeon. I've heard lots of negative reports about it. I think there is a scientific reason for it, that the brain struggles with it because of the glasses somehow. A lot of the media press I read at work reckon glasses-free 3D will stand a better chance of taking off.

Apart from trying to see the score/time it was pathetic although it has potential as it looked good but just not being able to see what was going on spoilt it for me because of the camera angles. Never watched sport in 3D before but was excited to see it before tonight, even though I'm drunk I wouldn't reccomend it.

It doesn't work well at all, think I'll stay at home and watch it in HD in future.

| Haven't seen 3D TV, but I always seem to find 3D at the cinema a bit out of focus at times, and blurred during action sequences. Don't know whether this is due to the technology, or brain processing speed.

Glasses free would be more popular no doubt, problem is that it not gonna happen for a very long time.
Quote The problem with glasses-free 3D TV is that is requires the viewer to sit almost motionless, directly facing the screen, which doesn’t lend itself to watching in groups or even watching comfortably at all.
Samsung has recognised this, claiming that until 32 viewing spots are possible the technology won’t be viable for entry into mass market 3D TV product lines.
A statement from Samsung read:
“We believe that creating a prototype for lab-grade glasses-free 3D TV, broadcasting system and display will take about five years.
“For mass commercialisation to become possible, manufacturing costs must come down and TV broadcasters will have to upgrade infrastructure, which includes securing transmission bandwidth.”'"

| I've seen 3D football and that was very uninspiring. The whole thing is a fad which will be forgotten about by next year.

| I've seen football and RL in 3D and both were terrible. I have heard Tennis is good because there isn't a lot of real movement from the players.
I will stick to watching films in 3D.

| I have recently had a discussion about 3D with a mate . He wanted to know what kind of glasses we wear to watch it live (standing on the terraces at the actual game ) in 3D . I tried my best to explain that normal telly , newspapers etc are 2D because they only have two dimensions (height and width ) , and that most other things you look at are 3D .ie: a third measurement that adds depth . I gave up . It was like trying to educate a plank .
