I have not seen the guy ref but have read much debate and complaint from club officials... so whats the paying customers views... in your opinion, is James Child a rugby league competent referee:

This is the very man who ref'd at the Crusaders vs Cas game where cru were up at half time. Then under a torrent of abuse from the cas fans jogged off at the half couldn't return due to a foot "injury"

Don't forget he was still able to run the line second half.

im sure one of the other vikings will correct me on this. but i remember we had him for a NRC game against oldham (which saw of Ste McCormack) he was a load of rancid jizz then and another time against fev or halifax i think? it was a very, very close game and he gave the opposition a penalty right in front of our sticks for some anal, none existant, bullcrap scrum infringement that nobody could understand. we lost the game as a direct result of that penalty.

He's the only linesman I've seen to sin bin 2 players, when Bulls played Hudds a couple of years ago.
