| Ok here goes
I have decided to learn Windows phone 7 programming to enable me to build an app.
The app will connect to an Rss feed and supply the latest super league news to your phone, this part was easy and is already running on my phone.
The bit that is giving me a headache is a tab for live score updates, i cant find an Rss feed that supplies this info. I have 3 options as i see it!
1. hope someone on here knows of one and job done its simple
2. Talk the RFL into keeping there one up todate( ok i know serious long shot)
3. are there people on these forums willing to feed into the feed during game days to create our own.
Your thoughts please also any input into what you would like from a Super Duper League phone app.
ps if i get the WP7 one working i will program an Iphone app
pps an Rss feed is Really Simple Syndication, in simple terms a file located in the cloud( on a server somewhere ) that is updated with news and that an Rss reader connects to to display the news

The BBC one is the closest I can think of but I don't think it has an RSS feed. Your best option might be number 3. Could you link up to twitter sites of rugby teams official/unofficial like castigersnet to use RSS feeds and like you say get people at the games to update it.

| Depending on your smartphone you can always use [urlhttp://www.rugbyleaguelive.co.uk[/url, but it requires flash so it won't work on iphones (Android phones should be OK)
binks - The RFL must have the data to be able to work the above site so they may let other developers use it as well. Might be worth an email?

Nope, just a huge christmas dinner. Windows and nokia might work. Nokias lack of pc knowledge would be a worry though. At least samsung make laptops as well as phones!

I'm not sure you can be trusted to write an app.

| If its pretty much just an rss feed it should be a cinch to code up to be honest. There is a Hull KR app on the iphone app store which just pulls news headline items off the website but then to view the actual article it takes you into a new browser window, its not handled within the app itself.
