| Quote Meanwhile, Scottish Co-operative Rugby League Conference side Easterhouse Panthers are celebrating after one of their youngsters secured a 12-month contract with Hull.
Half-back Chad McGlame, 19, from Dennistoun in Glasgow, who took up the sport during his second year at secondary school, was snapped up by the Black and Whites following a two-week trial.
Easterhouse Panthers coach Mark Senter said: "Having only picked up a rugby ball at the age of 14, it just shows what can be achieved with some hard work and desire.
"Chad is a true inspiration to the young people in the east end of Glasgow and a great role model for others to follow."
McGlame played in an Under-16 World Cup in Moscow, was a member of Scotland's Under-18s European Shield-winning squad in Prague in 2008 and won a Scotland A cap against France last year.

Plus, Glasgow is miles away from Hull, so clearly this non existant SL quality player would not be able to relocate to such distant climes, and we all know that the Scottish hate the English. Is it April 1st already? |

Precisely.
If Scotland did have a SL club, we would have the usual commentators coming out saying "This only happened because of the SL club" right about now. |

It is a positive thing but at the moment all the positive stories are about junior development. Doubtless the adult game will take off at some point but it is behind the rest of Britain (4 nations notwithstanding). |
