Even I wouldn’t hope that Wigan Warriors got what they deserve - non existence.
Absolutely disgraceful comment from yourself.

Leeds Rhinos stand-off Danny McGuire will miss the rest of the Super League play-offs after suffering a knee injury during their 27-26 win over Wigan.
The 27-year-old England international needs surgery that will also keep him out of the start of next season.
McGuire was injured while taking out George Carmont in the last minute.
Rhinos' head of physiotherapy Meirion Jones said: "It will require an extended period of rehabilitation extending into next season."

I’ll tell you what’s hurtful. Seeing a fellow Yorkshire club go down because of Wigan’s cheating. The way you treated Mike Gregory.
Gareth Hock also bringing shame to the game by sniffing coke.
Sam Tomkins going in late, third man in on Kieran Cunningham. A tackle that could of done some very bad damage to his leg.
Joel Tomkins and his thug ways.

yes, taking a chaser out off the ball, something which happens maybe 100-150 times a season should be punished with a terrible injury which can and frequently does not only affect a players career but their quality of life with the increased chance of degenerative joint disease.

Behave. If either Tomkins had committed the same foul, Beeston B&Q would've sold out of pitchforks within minutes as the unwashed of Leeds formed a lynch mob.
I don't wish injury on anyone and won't say it was deserved - but for the first time in 20 years of watching RL I didn't clap an injured player being carried from the field and felt zero sympathy for him. It's a shame he's out for such a long time but you can't say he didn't bring it on himself.

| Some shocking comments on here. McGuire "deserved" to concede a penalty and get 10 mins in the bin. That's what the rules say. Just coz it was the last minute of a close game doesn't change that. Bitter Wigan fans (and I accept it's only a few) would be better aiming their bile at Pat Richards for missing penalties or their own players not dealing with kick offs or pressing on with the early advantage. That's why you lost. Thinking McGuire deserved what he got is truely sick.

like Ian Knott ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Knott) did he bring it on himself? or Mike Gregory? or Steve Prescott? is that just 'karma' giving its little bit of payback?
of course not, you would have to be an idiot, or it seems a wigan fan to think so
these players go out there, every week, and put themselves in danger, put their bodies through hell just to entertain us. Mcguire did something which happens every week, it happened twice on saturday in on game, yet one player has suffered a horrendous injury from it most dont. This is the risk each of these players take every week to entertain us. They risk their health, and has unfortunately been proven, in some cases their lives so we have something to watch on a weekend.
Ive nothing but respect for each and every one of those guys who walk out their, and would never say that the health issues they suffer are payback for something as insignificant as their actions on the pitch.
It has honestly made me ashamed to be an RL fan

It's a question that you could:
a) Answer
B) Ignore
C) Throw a hissy fit whilst attempting to get all self righteous
I think the option you chose was quite predictable.

Not sure why you're bringing up other players, we're talking about McGuire and the circumstances of his injury, and his injury alone. Don't make stupid comparisons to lift you even higher on your high horse.
It's very simple. If he hadn't committed an illegal and cynical foul in the final seconds of the game, he wouldn't have got injured. If he had been injured tackling Carmont fairly after he'd received the ball from Richards, I'd have clapped him off as I always have and always will.
And as it happens, it's not just a lot of Wigan fans who feel like this. There are posts all over RLFans from fans of many clubs along the lines of "don't like players being injured...but...if he'd not cheated, he'd not be injured".

All players make challenges, all players bend the rules.
Joel Tomkins has committed more infringments than any other player, surely by your logic he should be suffering some horrendous injury, many multiple times worse than Mcguires? or are you really that naive that you believe Mcguires challenge is really that much worse an act because it was committed in the last minute and not the first?
