Why is it that the RFL rely on Sky to Advertise TGG, if the RFL put money aside for Advertising, it could advertise itself on ITV/Channel 4 and Sky 1, create interest in the game, and in doing so, get better figures for the TV Games. A Sucessful Attempt of Advetisment would be the A-League, making a series called 'Fan-Made' and having them shown on all the channels, this season crowds have been up about 5%. Could Super-League do the same? (Watch the Ads, they're actually quite good)

Super-League do the same?

They certainly need to do something. The RFL clearly doesn't have a marketing department and the SL clubs on advertise very locally, relying on local papers to do it for them.

Then why not even have fan made adverts, broadcast on the networks and the web. Get a few posters made!

The trouble is, the majority of high quality game footage is owned by Sky.

They're not quick to let others use it

Does it need to have game footage in it, and BBC have footage, 9 in Australia have footage.

TV advertising is very expensive and not very easy to target to the relevant audience, any RFL marketing budget is best spent on attracting 'lasped fans' back to the game.
