As a neutral, which spectacle do you prefer watching, either live or on TV.

With tickets extremely limited for next Saturday, the challenge cup seems to have got a bit of its glamour back this season imo.

So which do you prefer and why? The challenge cup, or the Grand final?

For me, it's the challenge cup final as I grew up as a kid watching it on the BBC and can remember some memorable Saturday afternoons in front of the TV. Sheffield beating Wigan. Martin Ofiah etc.

IMO they are completely different, the CC is a great weekend and probably better for a neutral and has a more family atmosphere, and has that traditional feel. Whereas the GF is seen more of a day/night think and I wouldnt bother going as a neutral. The GF as more on the line and is the prize we all want to win.

The GF is the better event but as a neutral I would say the CC.

I’ve always found that the rounds before the challenge cup final have been better than the final itself in the last few years. Warrington v Huddersfield had to be the most boring final in my life. It certainly wasn’t up with the match between Leeds and St Helens earlier in the cup run or the Warrington v St Helens semi final previous to the final.

Whereas the complete opposite happens in the super league play offs. This is thanks to two of the best teams get to face each other at the final rather than face each other after been picked out of an hat earlier on.

Super League Grand Final every time for me!

Too hard to call IMO. The Grand Final is great it's dark which makes the atmosphere tons better mysteriously and it means a lot more. There is that desperation to win that you just don't see in the CC final.

The GF is a culmination of a years hard work and the CC can be reached through very little work at all, reference Warrington this season. I think this comes across in the oohs and ahhhhs on the night.

The CC final is the better event for families and has that detachment and distance from home that makes it special. The GF just has that aura about it as you walk up etc. Both are great events.

C/C every time ,cracking weekend in london or cold dark night in manchester no competion. much rather have the cc any day . the top team is the one who finishes top after 28 rounds not some manafactured cup.

CC, has the history, the sense of occasion, Wembley and a weekend in London. Old Trafford is just another away game in comparison!

It is steeped in Rugby League History.

Grand Final for me, there's a different buzz about the game. I've been to both as a fan of a finalist and a neutral, and thought the buzz about the GF was better.

Warrington never played Saints. Huddersfield beat them at the Haliwell Jones - something Warrington are yet to do!

Grand Final is the best one to win so I look forward to that one more.

That being said, I am looking forward to a trip to Wembley and a CC final this year. Not at the expense of t'other tho.

Grand Final...after all, it takes two minutes for me to get on a tram and then there in 20 minutes. as opposed to hell on earth with maintenance on the trains....

GF everytime
Like someone said playing it under the lights with it all to play for is different to the early start fro travelling down to Wembley. Don't get me wrong Wembley is a great day out but its a right pain in the backside for travel and a long way back if you lose.

The GF has that mystery about it when any team can beat anyone on the day, the CC not so much.

It's so automatic it's amazing. Pie fan ( in this case Smalls ) tries to provoke a Wire fan, Wire fan responds dismissively, another Pie fan has the cheek to have a go at the Wire for his response!

CC final all the time as the last couple of GF have had a large number of incidents in the stands (trouble with fighting)

well there was plenty of open spaces at old trafford last year for the fighting
