Are there any pictures of the new stadium yet?

The only ones ive seen have been on the saints website of some roadworks.

The outline plans are on the St Helens Council planning site. The only other pics have been the VERY early ones on [urlhttp://www.sthelensstadium.com/[/url which were only ever artists impressions and will most likely bear no resemblance to the final design.

I assume the club will be releasing the 3D modelling imagery when the new website goes live. An announcement was expected last week, so I guess it will be any day now. Wouldn't be surprised if there was something in the programme on Sunday with the website going live next week (although I won't hold my breath!!)

The plans on the council website are what is being built.

You cant submit plans saying this is what we are building then put up something completely different.

The ground is fundamentally the same as that shown in the early artists impressions. With a few tweaks hear and there, mostly internal ones.

The club is becoming 'Saints RL' in preparation for the move to establishing 'Saints RU' from the bones of the Sale franchise when their owner hands them over next year.
