Good effort from Barrow but were never going to win against Saints , kept the scoreline acceptable though.

I heard stories of pitch invasions, mass fighting and board members childishly celebrating injuries and inciting violence today.

Not Super League standards that

There were not 2k from barrow.

At best it was around 1200

Good turnout mind.

Pity about the behaviour of the female Barrow fan who ran on the pitch and smacked James Roby, or the Barrow Director?? who was engaged in foul mouthed abuse of Saints speccie in the main stand. Or the Barrow fans who decided to have a brawl with each other.

Did she knock him (Roby) out ?

Barrow should be banned from playing professional rugby league.

There was racist chanting, riots in the stands, pitch invasions and they ambushed a burger van and ate all the burgers.

To top it all, their chairmen started cheering when Kyle Eastmond was injured.

Missiles were hurled onto the pitch, flares set off in the stand. All in all a hell on earth.

Barrow should be banned forever, real nasty club.

They certainly ruffled some feathers didnt they !! Seems like the establishment dont like it up em.

Why not talk about how well Barrow played, the last 5 SL clubs to visit Saints went away with a worse scoreline than little Barrow did today.

Widnes & Batley got creamed at home by SL clubs in this comp, so Barrow's showing away to both Cas & Saints shows up very well indeed.

If Saints can not attract more than 4000 home fans for the quarters then something needs to change.

They only come out when they play Wigan !

This is really bad news for the game. Relegate Barrow to C2? Ban them from the challenge cup? There has to be a punishment if this is true. After all the problems Leigh had last week at 'Haven, what is the problem in Cumbria?

Just a message to the Saints fans- see the difference between when you had these morons and when Leigh were there in SL? We all had a good night that night and I bet no-one enjoyed yesterday and there were only half as many people there.

yeh some stupid bint with "69" on the back of her shirt ran on and slapped his as he was packing down for a scrum, hardly crime of the century but not acceptable. This was followed by a brawl between the Barrow fans and a few stewards in the away end.

The biggest cheer of the day came when Kyle Eastmond got injured, including by all reports, the Barrow chairman joining in with the cheering.

apparantly someone else also got kicked out of the Directors box for being abusive to Saints families in the area.

i was stood in the paddock under the main stand.a barrow supporter was ejected from the main stand at half time for using foul and abusive language after previously being warned.he then started fighting with the stewards and was arrested.the barrow chairman was constantly barracking saints fans in the paddock from the visitors directors box.i didnt hear what was said but he upset a few round me.this is not what i consider to be acceptable behaviour from the chairman of any club.i didnt see anyone ejected from the directors box.

Does that suprise anyone about that tool?

Not really. He consistently comes across not as a chairman or chief exec, but as a 'fan' (a particularly obnoxious one at that) with more money than sense.

Cumbrians eh,can't take them anywhere.

I've followed the Barrow masses ,having mates up there ,when the Cougars haven't had a game ,as well as having the pleasure of them visiting my bar when they have visited Cougar Park .. and yes they are loud & in your face and yes they without doubt enjoy a few' beverages'..but they are some of the most passionate and good humored fans in the league ...

I find the complaints from Saints fans extremely hard to swallow after my experiences at the Grand final a couple of years ago on a trip with my local junior club ,having witnessed so called 'Saints Fans' fighting in lumps, abusing anyone and throwing full bottles of liquid across the crowds in front of them ... I personally have never been as uncomfortable (and to be honest scared )at any game of RL ...or actually any sports fixture (football included)

This was not a few individuals but whole sections of the crowd ..

In so far as comments about Barrow fans are concerned, the word pot and kettle come to mind...

Talk about Chinese whispers !! If anyone reading this believes it, then you need to seek medical advice. The only grains of truth in any of it is that a couple of people were evicted for being too drunk and obnoxious (fair enough) and a single, teenage girl ran on the pitch during a break in play and patted Roby on the backside. Wrong, I agree, but the stewards didn't make any attempt to do anything about it.

Unlike the most of the posters on this matter, I was there. Most of the rest of it is bolocks and the whole matter is being exagerated and stirred-up by Championship SL license 'opponents' who are bricking themselves at Barrow's recent success.

So the Saints fans were just sat/stood there and were, suddenly, with no provocation, subject to the chairman 'swearing' at them. Get a grip pal.

This whole thing about celebrating Eastmonds injury is just nonesense. In every RL game I've ever been to this happens. Every game. As soon as people realised he was staying down the cheers stopped. He was clapped off the pitch by 99% of Barrow fans.

well he wasnt just sat there in the stand and saints fans started taunting him for no reason from the terrace below.
