I dislike the conflict of interest Gallop is constantly exposed to in his current role. Hopefully, the IC will change all that forever. As it is, it is nearly impossible to make a proper judgment call on his abilities in the NRL CEO role (except in certain regards).

frick off, only reason NSW Govt offered that much was for fear of losing it to Q'land. Nothing to do with their respect of our game or how much they value hosting the GF. Good job he got the paper signed before Q'land decided to pull their offer off the table.

In many ways he has failed as if he had managed to land the Q'land bid it would have brought in alot more $'s for the game.

so gallops conned the nsw government for an extra $5.9 million!

come 2013 the nrl is going to be getting a whole lot more revenue than currently

ie

TV deals - $100 million extra
NSW government $5.9 million extra

then youve got Sky NZ extending their deal, the naming rights to the competition plus internet etc which Telstra got too cheaply plus whatever increase in sponsorship the nrl can get

we could potentially add $150 million more to our revenue base
