Does say he currently lacks the proper coaching qualifications to do the job.

He's already older than alot of SL & NRL coaches, so he has more experience of the game (even if not the coaching side). He also already has alot of influence over signings amongst other things at Odsal. Alot better option than say, Jimmy Lowes imo.

I think the Bulls could choose a lot worse, as for coaching qualifications who cares if he can do the job? There are a lot of people with coaching badges that should be nowhere near a team, but I suppose that the red hall mafia will throw a fit if anyone dare do something out of the box.

Far too talented as a player, will never make it as a coach.

They could always do what Leigh did with Darren Shaw until SM gets his coaching badges ie. give him the title of Rugby Manager and his assistant title of Head Coach

Agreed. They obviously raised their game when they were all of a sudden playing for the England boss. That didn't last long though.

Great player but he is unproven at coaching level although I would have him as assistant coach perhaps.

Lets face it, anyone half decent wouldn't touch Bradford with a barge poll!

Yet funnily enough Macca and Orford just picked up the coach of the month and player of the month awards, voted by the SL coaches, and Bulls were unbeaten in April and are still fifth in the table despite that debacle.

One swallow may not a summer make, but neither does one crow a winter make either.

Bradford arent anywhere near a quality side though.
Not the 5th best team I've seen this year either, they'll be lucky to grab one of the lowest playoff spots imo
