| X factor star set to wow Wildcat fans
Wakefield Wildcats have secured x-factor star Danyl Johnson to perform at their opening game of Super League XV.
The singing sensation, wowed the x factor judges in his first audition then became a firm favourite among the nation during his time on the show.
Dubbed by Simon Cowell as the ‘best first audition ever’, Danyl will be entertaining the crowds during half time on February 7th, and also treating the corporate to a private performance pre match, when the Wildcats take on Les Catalans Dragons in Round One of Super League XV.
The Wildcats will be out for revenge on the Dragons, as they knocked them out of the play offs back in September. With new signings Terry Newton, Glenn Morrison, Darryl Millard, Shane Tronc, Paul King, Ben Jeffries all in line to make their Wildcats debut, this is a game you simply cannot miss!
The club is offering fans the chance to purchase two adults ground tickets for £30 on the 21st December – Season Launch day. This offer is valid for one day only. What a great stocking filler for your loved one!

To be fair they do their fans proud with the half-time entertainment they provide and these bring supporters in and their cash.

Indeed, the Sumo challenge is quite the draw.
Of course the enjoyment of Belle Vue is aided when it’s a warm day and your team has won by 50 points.

Yeah they are pretty good. But honestly I think Danyl will be performing in the city centre that night and this is an extra booking, same with Diversity.
Its a shame they dont spend the mney elsewhere on short term stadium improvements etc.

Another accessible bar for the away support. Improved eating facilites, improving the WC facilities are just a few to mention.

New toilet block built within the last three years, Food outlets dotted around the ground on a par with other stadiums, granted a bar is lacking but in relation to important facilities at sports grounds I would suggest that is one of the lower priorities.
Money is spent on BV ensuring that is retains it’s safety certificate as a public venue. Anymore would be a waste of money as the ground has been sold.

Wouldn't waste your breath mate, their minds are made up. Nowt up with the bars either I reckon, though I was stood in front of one of them when we went last year for ease of access. Don't know which idiot decided I'd be included in a 4-way bet with two Wakefield fans and a fellow Leyther to volunteer to buy a round whenever the opposition scored a try (and, yes, you know the score that night! )

I dont think the toilet block is good enough really. Food outlets on par with other stadia? I dont think so, i can count 7 or 8 mobile ones at Headingley and that doesn't include the ones that sell abit of scran in the Carnegie.
I said short term improvments cos i knew you'd be moving evenutally. Maybe a mobile bar on top of the grass banking in the away end would work? Agreed the priority is the safety cert. is more improtant.

| So you think that a club with an average attendance of around 6,000 should have the same number of food outlets as a club with an attendance of about 17,000?
Don't know which business school you attended buT really. . .

Accountant in the making my friend.
I didn't say as many but still a few more would be good. Companies can pay the club to rent a vending space. It'd be good business sense to get a few more pounds in the bank.
Dont you agree a few more outlets would be advantageous? I've been going to BV for a while now and have only bought food once and never bought a beer. I've taken one look at the queues and turned back towards the terraces and got food when on the way home.

The toilets at Doncaster Rd end of ground aren't up to scratch I'll give you that but the ones down at the hospitality end (Benidorm flats for all you visiting fans ) are very clean and there are plenty of them. I believe there are about four food vendors one mobile bar and a bottle a bar inside the ground (although I agree these are too close together on the same side of the ground). Cats Bar is also open before and after the game and also at half time. As you rightly say we are (hopefully) moving in the very near future so ground improvements will be kept to a minimum which isn't good in an ideal world but hopefully soon you'll be watching your team playing in modern stadia when you visit Wakey.
Anyway back on topic, I'm sure Danyl will help swell the coffers with his appearance and its another good move by our marketing team. Just hope he doesnt want a drink and something to eat then needs the toilet!!!!

| i think it is a bit of a coup for wakefield and is a good bit of marketing by them.
he is still in the news you get a special offer on tickets but have to buy them in advance it will put a good few on the crowd.
TBF i cannot understand anyone having a go at them for it.
Although i would have preferred Stacey or Joe ( sorry sin bin mode)
