| Just wondering what people think about the ticket prices for this series?
The cheapest adult ticket for all three England games is £20.
Now I know that at some grounds £20 is a normal rate (despite dire facilities) but I'm frankly staggered to see that my regular Wigan season ticket seat (which costs me about £14 per game) is selling for £40 for the Australia match!!!! It's a damn good seat on the back row and in the middle under the scoreboard but I think you'd have to be a mentalist to pay that much!
Personally I'm not wasting my money anyway, this country is going backwards, and fast, internationally and I refuse to pay that much to go but I wondered if these kind of prices are off putting or do you see them as reasonable? Especially the France game! £50 for that?

| Only going to two games. France v Aus in Paris and hopefully the final
£40 for the East Stand at Wigan is absolutely disgusting. Low prices and large crowds, not large prices and low crowds!!

| I'd have thought if they'd have wanted more people going to these games to support the boys they'd have lowered the prices.
I'm not fussed because I'll sit anyway at the end of the day and as a student I only pay £10. But £25 to sit in a different stand is a joke. Do they not know of the recession?

| People simply won't bother to go, if they want to get people into the games they need to keep the prices low. If it were £10 for adults £5 for concessions people would be a lot more likely to go to more of the games.

exactly.. just look at the finals games for proof of people not going to games , people go during the season as they have season tickets, when they have to pay per game things change

| The reason they charge so much is because they know that there are plenty of suckers out there willing to pay top whack to watch the game at the highest level.
If all proper League fans were to boycott one of the games like most England soccer fans did with yesterday's game maybe Red Hall will take notice.
Surely after the National League Finals last week (where 11400 turned up) they should realise that sensible pricing will attract large crowds.

… am I the only one who doesn't think £20 for an international is outrageous?

Nearly all the ones I know including many that follow them home and away refused to pay to watch it. And that included watching it on dodgy satellite in pubs.
They understood that should this be viewed in large numbers it would happen again.
In fact many watched Leeds/Saints instead so perhaps football's loss is Rugby League's gain.

Wow. So the England football 'fans' you know, their idea of people boycotting a game is not "we won't go to the match" but "we won't watch something on telly that isn't on telly"? That's dedication.

| I can live with paying £20 to watch Australia vs NZ in a couple of weeks. I wouldn't entertain the idea to watch England get beat.
The Final offer is a great one though, £10 off for each group game attended.

No, you're not, I think it's an absolute bargain. And with 10,000 or so available at that price, it's hardly a case of trying to scrimp as much money as possible out of people.

| Not expensive bbut given peoples finances and to encourage them to attend games i would have done a Pacjage deal. Buy one England game get a non England game 1/2 price? Buy a finals ticket and get the England pool games at 1/2 price, that sort of thing.

| There are various package deals about! Buy 10 tickets for the price of 9! A family ticket for £40 saving £20! And also get a £10 discount on your final ticket just for going to a group game! I know it's not a lot but it's still something!!
These prices have always been at this rate for Internationals where basically the nearer the half way line the higher the prices and the cheapest being behind the posts! Clubs prices for the equivelent seats do not come into it!

a tenner to watch england australia would be embarrassing and would just tell the world that the sport values itself at tuppence.

Will probably take in the Aus-NZ game at The Stoop too.

| If you're not happy don't pay it. Plenty of fans are using the price as an excuse to stay at home. If you're only interested in your club then that's up to you. It's not something I'll ever understand, but there you go.
I'll be going to watch France v New Zealand and I'm expecting to pay around 25 pounds.

| It's not the £20 I'm questioning - I think that is pretty reasonable for the stadiums being used, it's the charging of up to £50 in other areas.
I just hope we won't see two pack ends and then a half empty East Stand which the cameras at Wigan focus on.
Just to clairfy though it's only £40 in the middle of the east stand, it's £30 and then £25 the further away from the touchline you get.
Maybe I just look at this wrong though. I'm a fan that's been to Harlequins, Catalans, Celtic etc for expensive weekends away this year and had a wallet battering play off run until this weekend. I suppose it's different for those who's season ended earlier.

Whoa!!!
Hold on there.
I didn't sell the game to TV for peanuts!!!
I have been to enough test matches, internationals, tour games etc over my years on the planet.
This four nations does not excite me simply because England are STILL NOT CAPABLE OF WINNING!!!!
If Aus v Kiwis was on at the windy place then I would consider that as I know it would be great entertainment.
Everything else is a foregone conclusion (see the odds the bookies give, and they ususally are not far offf the mark) so why waste all that effort when others in the game can't be bothered to bring the game in this country into the 19th, yes 19th century!!!
That's how far behind the Aussies we are!!!

| Why are we as a sport so bothered about how the seating looks on television?
I can't think of another sport where fans talk about the attendance before the actual game.
Think back to the England v Argentina rugby union game at Old Trafford this summer. half the stadium empty and little to no atmosphere. Any mention of that in the media? No!
The RFL must have done their homework with regard to ticket sales and sponsorship and I'd be surprised if the Four Nations makes a loss.
Personally I'm looking forward to a great tournament and a weekend in Toulouse
