Very good player. He'll do well.

He's mainly going to Australia for personal reasons (his girlfriend is an Aussie) and I think he can prove himself and better himself over there before (hopefully) returning to Wigan as a better player.

I think he'll set the world on fire for....who would it be....Wentworthville, Balmian, Ryde?

Similar on the development scale to Jordan Tansey although tbh i think he'll become a much much better player, loads of development still to do.

Ah, he was fun that kid. Gonna have a good NRL career like Morley, played a couple of games when the Roosters had injuries, went on to have a great time with Newtown, then back in Hull before it even got cold!

Roosters recruitment manager Peter O'Sullivan said the decision to allow Tansey to leave was a reluctant one for the club.

Actually he was loaned out by Leeds so I doubt he ever intended to stay over there. But feel free to continue using facts selectively.

But I'd be interested in what you think about Morley taking ages to 'make it' in the NRL and Gareth Ellis being the third best 2nd rower in his first season there. Obviously a sign that SL is just a park footy competition.

Morley took about two and a half years to get up to speed and he is the best English player of the last 30 years.


As for Ellis, I dont feel the need to double over and spasm like the media does over a Pommy player in the NRL, so I actually just judge them on how they actually play.

Considering he was one of the better forwards in a terrible, undersized, soft forward pack for a non finals team, in attack he worked hard but didn't have impact, and that in defense he was bloody clueless......yeah he did well.

One player in all of England can put his hand up right now and currently say he could just about survive the 2009 NRL season.

A clear sign that England is superior!

Correct. He spent a year at Halifax last year so this should set him up nicely for the NRL.

He was built up by the pommie media to be a legend.

I think what you really mean is that he was in a Balmain side containing such legends of the game as Benny Elias and Paul Sironen.

That's not how the Aussie media played it at the time. How old are you? Were you even born then or are you just pretending that he was probably crap? I can only go on what was portrayed at the time. I saw most of the play-offs that year thanks to Micron Video. He seemed pretty influential to me.
