| Fly buy of what it will look like. Saw it a couple of weeks ago and it is going to be awsome. Probably the 2nd best rectangular stadium in the country. Can't wait to go and see the opening game there. Shame they can't play a test match to open it.

| the new ground will offer much better corporate facilities and its hoped this will allow the storm to become more financially viable.
they currently lose around $3 million pa and the new ground its hoping to fall to breakeven or a $1 million loss
with news ltd to exit RL someone needs to fund the storm and it wont be the game itself.
not with other clubs ready to go that can be financially viable.

The current Olympic Park is a dump. They really need that new ground. Will it be solely theirs or shared with the Victory?

Depends on how you define "loss". News Ltd, as owners, make up the shortfall just as owners of other clubs such as Manly or Sth's do or Leagues clubs do for many other clubs. It is rumoured Melbourne operate on an expenditure of over $17million. That is more than most clubs, if News dropped them they would simply spend the same as majority of clubs and break even.
but you are right with an extra 5000 fans and much better corporate facilities they are only going to get stronger hopefully.

| The new stadium will help the Storm so much, they will be a top drawing team I think from day one.

| By the way, if you watch a soccer program in Australia, they talk about THEIR made for soccer stadium and how it shows how far soccer has come in Melbourne and how everyone got being THEIR push for a SOCCER stadium.
Hmmm.....

| MCG, Rod Laver Arena (Tennis) and Swimming Pool. The current Storm ground (Olympic Park) will be turned into an AFL trainig oval.
