Wasn't he one of the original RL commentators on ITV ? He also did the French domestic RL games that were shown on Screensport some years ago too.
I was lucky enough to get a signed copy of his book when it came out about 18 months ago.
One of those great voices who you could listen to all day.
Thanks for many hours of bringing alive whichever event you were calling.
Rest in peace.

I'm too young but I read he commentated on "RL Action" shown by Granada (and Yorkshire?) TV in the 1980s. |
