Though they play different positions, Harrison was better player by far. He had a much longer career and was still capable of an above average standard at the end of it. He had a better work rate in both attack and defence, and though not flashy in attack he was a very smart and effective player, something Brian Smith commented on when he was coaching him. In addition he was far more consistent and didn't go MIA in adversity.

Because he never played for fashionable clubs Harrison has been been greatly under-rated, but when given the chance on the big occasion he always showed up well.
