You get good games and bad games in both codes. I’ve enjoyed some Union matches over the years but I much prefer league because it is what I was bough up on. I will still only turn a Union game on if its internationals. Other than that I wouldn’t bother watching the likes of Leeds Tykes and they southern friends.

Well, I suppose that's one way of looking at it. Another is that it's good, I think, to hear other voices other than my own on the blog. The students, some from a league background but most not, bring a different perspective - and one, I hope, that's worth listening to. |

| I got interviewed by some stoodents before the game, good job it wasnt after 
Tragically, they went to a very poor game, if they had been at the Saints game the week before they would perhaps have had a different opinion.
And with regards to the unionite who actuall likes rucks and mauls, well I think he has been rucked in the head once too often...
Having played both codes in the forwards, how anyone can prefer to watch or play union is beyond me. |

I cannot remember seeing ANY super league game where there were NONE at all. Perhaps she should get the DVD of Scott Murrell 'big hitting' Brad Drew, it would have retired half the kick and clap player for good

Very disappointing to draw people into that oh so boring debate on an RL blog. Im not interested in RU fan's opinions on my game any more than i'm interested in a badminton fan's opinion on my game.

That’s why most sports journalist blogs are dieing. The same old garbage gets dished out meaning people don’t bother reading them any more!

I played rugby union about 30 odd years ago and it was so easy because the opposition took the dummy and I hardly got tackled even though I wasn't that great.
I alos played for Saint Pats in a tournament. What a difference. They tackled much harder and I had to concentrate on keeping hold of the ball. Dummies didn't work. It was a long time ago and I suppose RU has improved.
League is number one.
