The amount of times he says 'um' when speaking, if he was from Yorkshire and said 'erm' all the time he would be deemed thick.

Terrible analysis and can't string more than 3 words together.

I usually watch it while sky+ it and then watch the tries back again but this season I now do so with volume turned down. The sooner Sky get rid the better.

He's lost for something to say off the top of his head so drags up everything he can think of to make himself sound knowledgeable other than the game itself.

I think Offiah does a good job, he sounds articulate and enthusiastic about the game. I'm glad hes involved with the media now.

Don't confuse 'articulate' with 'posh accent'.

I don't know what's happenned to Martin Offiah, to be honest. When he was playing he always used to come across very well when being interviewed, or as a guest on the BBC's coverage.

He now seems nervous and wooden. I mean, Offiah wasn't a good 'technical' player, so I wouldn't have thought he would be the best person to talk tactics in any case. Would he not be better used as a presenter? On the handful of programmes he's presented, he's actually been very watchable.

I'm sick of this attitude that just because you have a northern accent you're automatically rendered in the eyes of the nation as stupid, and retarded. Jamie Peacock, Paul Sculphorpe... okay, you [imight[/i have a point.

I've said this since the WC. He's poor. He's trying way to hard to "sound" right, but gets lost in his speaking. He stutters and repeats himself a lot because he speaks faster than he can think, maybe because he is being over-enthusiatic.

The role isn't suiting him at the moment. It could, but we shouldn't have to put up with it whilst he can't. That's why there are supposed to be certain standards! (Obviously not in RL!).

As an aside, I thought that guy from the Guardian on SLS was very good.

Not a patch on Tony Rea’s match analysis, he spoke about the game like a good coach would and made you see things in the highlights you wouldn’t necessarily see without his prompt. Offiah sounds daft and basically just describes what you can clearly see yourself from the video, Rugby League must be able to do better…

he is awfull i couldnt stand him doing the world cup. he is quite simply the Garth Crooks of Rugby League punditry. And yes i did notice harris on the rugby league show sunday. i thought i was the only moaner aronund glad to see others at it.
