| I think they missed an opportunity to launch the WC shirt at the Trafalgar Square event prior to the Cup Final. Unless they are planning to do it at say the Grand Final, for maximum exposure? I was hoping they would have at least revealed the shirt by now, with a release date and pre-sale reservation option

Drives me crazy. Why the obsession with splashing the flag on the shirt? To remind our Australian contingent who they're playing for?
Virtually every other international RL team has an iconic V design (as did the terrific GB shirts before some dimwit decided to bury a huge part of our international heritage). Stick with the international trend. And no I don't care that Saints have a red V.'"
I thought the 2007 England shirt with the cross on the sleeves was great.
Pre 1947 the red &blue v was the England kit
If you go back a couple of decades & lok at England football games, all the flags at games were union flags, now they are all St George.
I'd have preferred the red shield with 3 gold lions on as the league badge, just like what was on pre SL medals.

I've heard from some so-called RL fans that they wouldn't buy an England/GB shirt if it looked like a club they don't like shirt. Which is just pathetic. Do Arsenal fans not buy the white England shirt because it looks a little like a Spurs shirt?
Like you say it should be white with a red V, if for some reason we need an "away" shirt then just inverse the colours.

| Having a red V would alienate the biggest RL town in the country. Even the RFL aren't that daft. Just have the old GB style shirts.

I would thought it would be out and available to pre-order by now, but you have to assume they have something big up their sleeves to launch the shirt. They seem to be on the ball in terms of promoting the event, and the shirt launch is the next big milestone before the competition starts.

| If it was all white with a red v will could the fans who don't like it not buy the away top?
I'd talk to Saints, England have 2 v's and Saints a single V so there's a distinct difference for the petty fans.

Agreed, although there is some decent stuff in the shop. I've already brought a couple of items and plan to buy more. Particulary planning on purchasing plenty of the other nations gear.

| Id like to see something of a hybrid between the two current eng shirts which would look excellent imo as below.
The first is my modified version, the second is the current kit. The problem with all England shirts is they need more red for me.
....If not this then I'd go for something like the below which I posted in another forum.... it retains the flag which i think is important, while still looking good and not being overbearing and dominated by the St George.
Red shorts are also a must IMO otherwise its again too much white!

| Im not a massive fan of have the st george flag on the shirt because it looks tacky! Its the main reason why ive not bought an international short since the GB days. The second one you have done looks almost identical to the 2008 shirt!
I liked the hooped england shirt we had a few year back when we play down under a few years back.

I like that. Goes with the design of the Aussies and Kiwis. Some will claim it looks like a Saints shirt though.
If not red, then a light grey colour. But there definitely should be a chevron.

| Love the 'v' all class, does anyone know when the french jersey will be released? Also how weird is it that australia has a kiwi kit supplier, england has an ozzie supplier and NZ has a english supplier.

I agree.
The quicker England drops the dodgy St George Cross designs the better.

This would be perfect, however being a Wigan fan I am biased towards red/cherry and white hoops.

Very smart lets hope the design is like this.
Don't understand the need for the St George cross to be anywhere but the badge.
