If you bother watch the slow-mo just before he's carded, Mason stands on Fielden's right foot before stamping on his left ankle. Brave man. Very big. Couldn't manage to smash Stu in the tackle so he goes for an unsighted dig. Fielden doesn't see who does it, which is why he has a go at the markers. Nice to see Mason go hiding when the fists start flying.

BTW, 15 mins 37 seconds is the fight. The alleged Tomkins 'stamp' is at 16 mins 37. If you can call it a stamp; he's in the act of tackling, Faalogo has his hand on the floor and the front Tomkin's boot touches it. Faalogo doesn't even react. Pointing at that and wailing "but Sam did it as well!!!" (he didn't) doesn't distract from Mason being a major league cheapshot pussy.

BTW, how many Giants fans were evicted last night?? I saw at least 2 being removed and heard of a few more.

Unfortunately i was not there last night but on my previous visits to the DW there is always a bit of tension with the fans as they continue to put Huddersfield in with the Home fans. Even though we had 500 to 600 there they did not open the away stand. In a game as full of controversy as yesterdays it is not surprising there were a few incidents. Those fans who were there may be able to best comment on the indavidual details.

In regards to Tomkins, he has no talent and he's a dirty player.

Which is strange, because he is one of Super League's top players, an England first team regular and a fans favourite at Wigan.

You comments about Tomkins are interesting though. Dirty , niggly player but he is our player so we love him. Difference is Huddersfield fans did not have to have 10 pages going on at him like you lot did at Mason. ( except when boredom crept in and a spot of fishing seemed in order).

I saw them being taken away, then a little later the bloke in front of us took his kid to the toilet, came back and said there were a few more being shown the door. Fair enough, but they were certainly a little over-excited and I saw several Wigan fans move away from them, mainly those with kids.

Still, the fat lad who was on the verge of tears after Sam's try gave us all a good laugh.

That's probably because there aren't enough Huddersfield supporters to generate 10 pages of posts on your forum, and the fact there's only you and a couple of other Huddersfield supporters who think Sam actually did wrong.

He's a real chav is young Sam. His army issue hair cut doesn't do anything for him. It makes him look like an extra from Prison Break, probably one of T-Bag's 'friends'.

Fantastic player. But I don't think the sly behaviour at times does him any good. It's going to get him into trouble and isn't a worthwhile part of his game. He could be aggressive without being stupid, quality players don't descend to those levels.

It's been a long time coming but Fielden finally comes out top in a confrontation with a Mason.

The guy has some serious talent, there is no doubt about it. Not just his sheer speed and acceleration but the agility to beat the defenders last night made that a great try to watch.

But yeh, he is niggly and a bit mouthy. Hopefully this will be something that goes as he matures.

On a side note, I didn't like how he deliberately hit Carl Abletts forearm with his face - could have done some serious damage there. Not nice to watch...

Tomkins is brilliant - Can't wait to see him up against the Aussies this summer.

I remember when we played Wigan at the DW this season and they were absolutely battering us. Broughton scored a length of the field try with Tomkins in close pursuit. After failing to catch Broughton, Tomkins started pointing at the scoreboard and goading the fans.

We need more players like him in the league though - it would be a lot less interesting league without players that you can't stand

I could do without the diving at the play of the ball and the holding down of the tackler. He's no Danny McGuire either, cut the Sky hype and the Wigan are the greatest team ever rubbish out and look at what he really is.
