| It's just too easy to stay in and watch it on tv. We know rugby league fans are some of the tightest around, so why prices started from £19 for a untested contest is baffling.

| The prices are FARRR too expensive, if you didnt claim your £5 voucher theres no point bothering, 30 odd quid to sit in that carnegie stand?? get lost.
The marketing was great I thought only the pricing's wrong and you cant expect people to stump up both on a friday and a sunday.
Should have been on a free weekend or a wednesday like origin, half term and all

| What I don't understand is that fans moan that it won't be a success and have a small crowd! Well sureley it's upto the fans to get off their backside instead of moaning how poor our game is and attend these fixtures to make them a success. The pot calling the kettle black me thinks!

| It's not classed as a proper Test match thats why it doesnt seem to be a crowd winner a people are sceptical to see if the players give it 100%.
There is plenty more interest in the media than a normal Test v France though which is good for the profile of the sport.

And that in my opinion, is a significant problem. People won't spend their time and money on 2 RL games in a weekend and as we all know with RL fans, club comes before country.

| Not at all, country before club ANY day of the week. I just havent got the money, had the money when it was announced and so on and since have made other plans.
Ive not been many away games because of financial strains this year and i reckon thousands are in the same boat

I would strongly encourage you to look at the Easter weekend attendances throughout the year and tell me where you came to that conclusion

Spot on, it's the reason I'm not going. I simply can't afford two trips to Yorkshire in the car and 2 sets of tickets in 48 hours.
Giving STH a discount like they do with the Magic Weekend would be a decent idea for next year, and send it back over the pennines! With 15 Wigan and Warrington players on show, there may have been a greater level of interest if it wasn't at Headingley. Again.

| Think with it being the 1st one, people are unsure but hopefully the game will be a great spectacle & will mean people will want to go next year.
I think it should have been held at Warrington too, the amount of Wire players playing would of got the Warrington public out + Saints, Wigan & Widnes are away in Yorkshire this weekend so i'm sure some would of rather gone to this...
Still I think it's a great concept and, for a change it has been marketed excellently by the RFL and deserve full credit for how they have promoted the game!

| Strange one this as this is a game the people have wanted. But it comes around they can't be bothered if it due to being a Friday night in Leeds.
Remember those who voted did get £5 off a ticket.

| It looks like it should be a good game, however as Nathan Brown says it all depends on how serious the players take it. I personally would have preferred it to be at the Galpharm but they are re laying the pitch so that was out, its much easier to get to than headingly.

Some of them did. Those (like me) who were of the misguided opinion there wasn't a time limit on the offer - and this wasn't communicated at the time - missed out.
I'm still going though.

| you can get 10,000 to a local School Fete.
Why can this game not do better than that?
You can throw an Indian blanket over the Villages that play the game in the North of England so distance is not an issue.

| If I still lived in Leeds, I would go. But as I'm back in Wigan, the M62 on a Friday night still gives me nightmares.
As some have mentioned though, people are tentative about what the quality will be like. If this is a close fought, high intensity game (as it should be, that's the entire point) then the crowds would grow next year. If its the same attendance as France game that'll be a success (imo), as it's a harder game for England.
I do think it's a mistake not having it truly midweek though, Wednesday night, ala Origin, would have allowed a lot more of the players a chance to back up.

Do you have a Car?
I travel 800 Kilometres a week to go to work, its not a big deal.
Is 50 kilometres too far away?

50 kilometers to leeds? from where exactly? bradford?
good for you. but your work commute is not really a legitimate yardstick of the travel capabilities of every other rugby league fan. thats about the same as driving from widnes to manchester and back every week day. your right, thats not a big deal, i do that most days myself. but it becomes a big deal when your going 3-4 times as far and have children to pay for and it takes 2-3 hours getting their on a friday night with the traffic.

| Thats the other daft comparison; one thing the winter taught me was that Australia doesn't understand the term 'traffic jam'. Their roads are ghost towns compared to a standard British town centre
