Rubbish idea. I already think that the interchange rules have made a forwards workload easier - I'm of the though thought that stamina and resiliance should be rewarded, instead of allowing people like Feka to steal a living.

4 subs, 6 interchanges, two halfs, 40 minutes each - that's what I say.

With commercial TV revenues available, it's only a matter of time. It seems a far better option than cutting to an ad break in the middle of play.

the introduction of 4 quarter football will help international RL become closer as most teams can match each other for 20 - 30 mins but the better teams will wear down the other in the final 10 mins.

Fully agree. RL isn't just about the best tacklers or runners - it's also about how players raise themselves when things are getting tough; when you've a few lads injured and playing out of position and the opposition still have their fresh subs and are running hard.

I like this idea it could certainly bring more money due to ad breaks.

I think it would make for closer games because it would be harder to keep momentum for a whole half of rugby.

5 mins to re-group for 5 mins after 20 is a good idea for me.

The Doncaster V Sheffield friendly earlier this year was played over four quarters of 20 minutes. I really don't remember why.

Only in the very short term. The conditioning coaches would soon be producing players that best suit 4 x 15 minutes rather than 2 x 40 minutes.

I agree 4 quarters and a reduction in interchanges to say 8. Would be a good move. It would allow the TV companies chance to make some more money and pass it onto the clubs.
