| ThePrinter and BrisbaneRhino are right, trying to pin the poor attendance at KCOM Hull on Leeds fans is ridiculous, especially given the fact a large contingent of Leeds fans were at the KCOM.
I’m fairly confident Elland Road will have the best attendance of the three tests, regardless of whether it’s the decider or a dead rubber, thanks to Leeds fans supporting the International game.

Really, so Elland road isn't convenient for Wakefield, Castleford, Featherstone, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Batley then? So it won't be those fans making up the numbers

Staging a club event to clash with an international is mickey poor, whether you are Leeds or London.
Doing this can only detract from the "main event".
As for stating that showing the game on the big screen may have allowed some fans to watch the game who may otherwise not have seen it is just absolute garbage , especially as it was live on the BBC. It's far more likely that Leeds fans may have planned their day around the shirt launch so they didn't "need" to go the the actual game.
WHY couldn't Leeds have held their event on a different day, is every opportunity take up with other things ?
I do agree that many Leeds fans will choose the Elland Road game and good on them.
Might it be rude if the other Yorkshire clubs held their own events on the day of the Elland Road Test ?
Finally, a simple question for you.
Would other clubs staging their own events, on the day of a test, more likely increase numbers attending the actual game or, would it have a negative impact on those attending.
When you've worked out your answer, please post it, giveing your esteemed thoughts.'"
You just keep digging a bigger hole for yourself with your clear anti leeds agenda, if wakefield did gave a club event on the same day as a test match, i am sure the RFL will muss those 50 fans. The blame fir the poir atendenct at the test match in Hull has nothing to do with Leeds fans or club, its nit leeds fans job to fill everyone elses coffers including test matches.

| Quote ="BrisbaneRhino"Is anyone genuinely suggesting that a meaningful number of people didn't go to the NZ game because of shirt unveiling? Anyone who even thinks of attending a shirt unveiling must be amongst the most one-eyed supporters in the game. Anyway, are we talking about thousands of people? A hundred? Ten?
The NFL is the same as international RU and to an extent the RLWC - if people feel something is an 'event' they'll turn up in droves regardless of the actual spectacle. If its about the sporting contest then you'll only get fans of the game itself. How many of those attending the NFL games are just there to experience the razzamattazz and spectacle of it all and probably know sweet FA about the teams or even the sport? I'd bet a big chunk. I know loads of people who went to the last RUWC here in OZ who had literally no interest in the sport generally but they went in their thousands to watch minnows get hammered. Meanwhile in RL we fuss about how poor smaller teams are and the quality of the matches/referees or whatever.
That's what any marketing around international RL has to work on - making the games something people really want to go to.'"
Clearly, Leeds holding their shirt unveiling and the opening of their new stand was not the main reason for a poor crowd at Hull, it was the lack of advertising and promotion that was the primary reason, just at it was for the poor attendance at Leigh (for the France game).
The lack of Leeds fans at the game would have far more to do with their poor domestic season and severe lack of any of their players on show.
However, it was still poor form to hold an event at 12.15 on the day of an international.

As already pointed out, within 20 miles radius of Leeds is a lot of League Fans.
If Leeds fans, you know the bet supported club in the last 10 years, really did support the International game, then perhaps travelling the 1 hour commute to Hull would have been a good demonstration of this.

| Almost 10,000 more at Liverpool (a non RL city) than Hull (a 2 SL club city).
Leeds have already sold 25,000 and could well sell out.
That should be the last test match Hull host after their terrible attendance.

Using your warped troll logic, all RL internationals should be played in London.....but you're not logical. You're just trolling to get a bite from Hull fans, because Wakey/Leigh fans have got your number.
34,147 for the last England test played at Elland Road some 7 years ago.....let's hope for your sake they beat that!

| Nice bit of trolling there gutters, 34,147 was for England v Australia and a Four Nations Final, you can’t compare that figure to an England v New Zealand dead rubber, however the attendance will be close to that figure.
I do believe an England game should be held in London in every competition. Elland Road and either Wembley or London Olympic Stadium should be the first two on the list.

? Who?
And the definition of trolling is what you and a couple of others do, in starting threads that are designed to wind people up....like this thread, designed to get a bite from Leigh and Hull fans.
You claimed in another thread that You and Jean were spot on with your predictions and then confirmed you weren't spot on at all, but again all you really wanted was a rise from fans of Leigh.
And why is it that a Leeds fan (sic) has less than 4% of his posts on the Leeds Board?
Leeds is in the of RL heartlands with multiple professional sides a bus ride away....anything less than a full house would be appalling!

Rubbish, both these grounds are good enough for Preimer League/Championship Football, and they are good enough for Rugby League.
If Anfield and Elland Road aren’t up to scratch, where do you believe we should play? How about Craven Park, Wheldon Road and Belle Vue.

My point is these grounds don’t get good enough attendances to hold internationals, 17k and 5k is not acceptable.
We should hold games in London and Elland Road where we can get 30k+ 40k+ attendances.

Yet more trolling It's not even subtle.....
Hull have consistently delivered good crowds for England Internationals and FC have the 2nd Highest Average Attendance in SL. The last decade has now seen 4 England games played at the KC with the average being in excess of 22,000. The poor crowd this year is more a statement of how poorly the RFL marketed this series than anything else, with the failure to half fill Anfield a shocking effort......I was there for the first ever SL game at the KC and rate it as one of the best stadiums to watch Rugby I have ever been to, whilst Elland road is a dated soccer stadium that delivers poor views and cramp in equal measure.
