What did Childs get wrong tonight exactly? Why is everyone so quick to bag the refs, those were two terrible sides on display tonight, made even worse by the weather.
Childs got all the key decisions correct. It's too easy to blame the ref sometimes.

One of the most overrated props I've ever seen.

Wigan will win the Grand Final again. I'm not a fan of them winning it all the time, but it will be amusing to see Saints run away with the LLS two years in a row with zero meaningful trophies to show for it.

I know plenty of Wires fans have cried about the play off system being unfair simply because we've won the LLS twice without finishing the job properly. I never agreed with them, but nor to I deny they exist. Saints fans were amongst the most vocal in roundly mocking us all for it though, so seeing the toys out the pram so dramatically from them is brilliant.

If they do win the Grand Final then all credit to them, but I imagine the majority of their own fanbase currently agree with my Wigan prediction.

Was going to say the same. Thought he was alright tonight. A couple of occasions where I thought he could have given penalties but didn’t, mostly for holding down. However let’s fave it the reason the saints fans and Holbrook were annoyed were because they’re still bitter from the Cup Final (despite being allowed a try that should’ve been disallowed) and because they got over the line twice in that second half but both were quite rightly disallowed. If Saints want to stop committing obstruction then they’ll stop getting penalties for obstruction given against them.

Mostly holding down, head tackles, forward passes and offside for both teams, Watts could have conceded a penalty in every defensive set he was that far offside. The only thing he did get right was probably most of the obstructions although I thought the Lomax no try was a 50/50 call which was a bit bizarre, he was giving the try but changed his mind and didn't go to the screen to check for infringement, very Hickesque.

Around the 60 minute mark the penalty count was 6 to 1 in Cas favour, biggest cheer of the night was when he got Cas for offside.

Its not like fans to not complain. I see to recall weeks of moaning for a millennium magic game when bradford were on the end of a wrong call after Leeds won.

That was just for 2 league points.
