Superb crowd at Wakefield. I had been critical of the club and had spent many a time on here debating just why they were ever allowed into Super League. But their youth development and crowds recently have been very encouraging. Well done them.

What do people expect for ' dead rubber ' games ? , Cas's season is now essentially over , nothing to play for

So I presume Wakefield's decent crowd yesterday is purely down to hull fc then too?

In part yes, but also our fixtures are 35% up on last year and there were 1,000 more people

there than the same fixture last year.

So it's hardly a Wakefield exclusive thing having a good crowd against Hull FC (and it being up on last year too).

Maybe it's that the club charge home fans and away fans the same to watch the game ??? Or maybe because you can actually see the game as an away fan and not be a mile from the pitch ???

Hats off to Hull Fc for bringing 1000 more people down to your game this year then.

As a complete neutral in this and removing the debated aspect of Hull's away support...

Got to be fair to Wakey, they're doing some tremendous work in increasing their average gate.

Has to said, our game was on the TV on a Saturday tea time as well. I think a lot of Cas fans are finding it hard to come to terms with fact that our crowds are better now.



A lot of credit has to go to Wakey with the way attendances have increased on the back of nothing special on the pitch. Over 5 years ago we was struggling to get over 3K at home Salford!
