Catalans will come good.......they have lost to Saints....still a top 4 team, Wakey who are still a top 6 team and a quins team that HAD to win after their previous performance. They won 1 from the first 7 last year and they will be in the 8 come September.

Could it be they provide a large % of the French national team. Long seasons especially if they are carry injuries

They have hardly been given an easy start to the season with 3 away games and 1 home.

Once Bosc returns I am sure they will improve, not having a man sent off every week may help them too.

The answers are pretty obvious, we have lost Bird, who was very influential, Bosc is injured - and is the heart of the team, the shocking disipline at the club seems to have got worse and finally, had more representatives in the 4N than any other club in the world.

I just really want them to do well. Just as much as I want to see Crusaders and Quins do well. I want to see more success stories. Catalans being right at the top of the league would help them massively off the field.

Catalans were dreadful. Zero defence and nothing in attack. Easy for Wigan. Drive, drive, drive with the forwards then swing wide for an easy gap. That summed up nearly all of Wigan's 10 tries but CherryandWhite.co.uk does have a full report.

To be fair to Catalans, if you take any teams main play-maker out and they'll struggle.


Just take Orford from us, Eastmond from Saints, Robinson from Hudds, Sinfield from Leeds, Dobson from HKR etc etc. Every team struggles without one of their main creators. I'm sure Catalans will bounce back soon enough.

Walters stacked the middle of the field to get three in the tackle and stop Wigan going through the middle. This they did brilliantly as Wigan didn't make one break up the middle of the field all night.

As you will have deduced, Wigan then went out wide and scored at will.
Maguire sent his big men up the middle for three drives, drew the Catalans men into the tackle and then spun the ball out wide.
Richards scored 5 out wide, Carmont two and Goulding's was approx 3 yards in from touch. O'Loughlin was the only try by the posts and Leuluai went over from dummy half.

If they are top stand any chance at Salford then Kane Bently has to go to 9, McGuire to 7 and Ragiun to centre. Elima will be back and he needs to start with Guisset in the front row.
