I have watched him play in his 2 matches for Warrington Reserves.

Eribe Doro and Sammy Kibula had more grunt than him, with their drives forward.

Admittedly Latu is supposed not to be fully fit yet, but how long do we have to wait?

I had (these things are relative) high hopes for Kibula. Big lad, new start, new club. I assume either he's confirming why Wigan released him or he's another signing Price didn't sanction and has got a strop over?

Latu had another year to run with Gold coast and they let him go to ease the salary cap. Was impressive when he first appeared on the scene then signed with Gold coast and has done absolutely nothing for them. Had one game for Tonga and one game for NRL all stars and that's it. As far as i've seen from him and heard from him he's just a reserve grade prop at best, he's been over here 6-7 weeks with 2 games for the reserves and a game for Widnes so if his fitness is still 5hit that's shocking. Unless he's suddenly going to turn up full force every game i'm expecting him to be on par as Kibula.
Anybody got any idea what kind of wage he's picking up from us?

I don't think he looks even remotely like SL standard. Latu looks capable of being a bench prop if he sorts himself out and gets fit. Doro has been on the naughty step, but for both the games I have seen he worked hard, got through plenty of tackles, and got a fair few offloads away. His disadvantage is size, but that didn't stop Westwood from making the hard yards.

Have we unearthed the next Steve Jackson, I wonder.

The Jackson bros stunk to high heaven. I remember one of them struggling to make the bench for the A-Team, he was THAT bad. Speaking of bros, Matt and Luke Goss would've done done a better job than those 2 chances.

I remember those two Lefty. The pair of them were utter garbage (Jackson not Goss). Couldn't believe when Steve came off the bench to win Canberra a GF. Who was the winger Sir Les brought with him one season? He was no better the Jacksons.

some people have been very quick to forget how good he actually was when he signed.

That was a happy, eager player.... He has been ground into the floor like all the others....

IF we sign a good coach soon and we start playing some good rugby again, he will be the standout strike player of the side.

Michael Jackson was a pretty handy loose forward who I’d would of swapped for BMM without throwing too many toys out of my pram.
He wasn’t a superstar but nobody was if you wasn’t playing at Wigan in those days. He was an international tourist, and challenge cup winner with Sheffield too.

Absolutely this, so much of our talent is being wasted. We have the second best pair of wingers we have had in my time watching Wire (I'd say King and hicks were the best) and we still aren't managing to score tries!

My main concern is that if we remove Steve price from his position the same person who has been in charge of our player recruitment will be the person responsible for head coach recruitment. It will be another jolly over to Australia and the same people as last time will be contacted and spoken to and probably still won't be interested.

It all comes back to the props, straight down the middle, we're not making enough impact to cause defences to be pulled in or out of shape, to make space or gaps for the halfs to put the 3/4s away.

Interesting to see you say about the best pair of wingers, a couple of posters elsewhere have pointed out we've got the worst 3/4 line since the ill fated 2002 season, which is knee jerk hyperbolic nonsense at best. (some ppl have already made their mind up on toby king and got it in for him)

with the exception of brand, it's not bad, its just not being used properly.
